Respect for them yes but we should sweep these aside with ease - I would expect to be in the hat next round

I saw them at Whitchurch Alport season before last. They took over 400 there. They might be a good pay day for us especially if we win. Whitchurch play at City of Liverpool tomorrow night in the North West Counties Premier. No doubt CoL will be buoyed by today’s draw but don’t write them off, they have had a very strong start to their season. Formed not so long ago either they appeared to breeze through the leagues and now look well equipped this season. Strangely they were accepted into the NWCL1 at the beginning of the 2016/17 season before they had anywhere to play or any players. They played at Bootle and probably still do (without checking).

Having been born in Anfield and hating the premiership this is my dream draw. Have been to see City of Liverpool several times. I am sure they will regard this fixture as a coming of age. For anyone unaware of this club they are built on the the same model and ethos as FCUM, but they don't take themselves so seriously. They will bring more than Dunston Uts, and apart from a few gobby Scousers all the games I have seen have been great days out. And we might not go out of a cup first dibs.

Just checked and they are still playing at Bootle but Liverpool City Council have given then exclusivity rights on a plot of land in Fazackerley where they believe they can build a 3,000 capacity stadium in time for the 2020/21 season. They must have some backing from the 4 guys that first proposed them in 2014.

They will bring a fair few. In three home league games, their attendances have been, 404 against Burscough. 406 v Irlam, and 649 against Runcorn Town (50 away fans). Luke Denson plays for them didn't we sign him from Colwyn Bay?

If they were to get their own ground and thrive, what a massive boost that would be to non league football. Don't know the details but FC United don't seem to have quite delivered. We must get the young people on board with grass roots football. These tenous connections may be the way

Got to be wary of them as there’s a bit of a bottleneck in some of these Step 5 league of teams that could hold their own in the Evo Stik, but have missed out due to only one team going up, or teams refusing promotion, or ground grading rules etc. Especially in the Northern League. I often think that once you get below the Conf North, the good and bad teams in one league are probably not much different to the good and bad teams in the league below it.
The two Runcorn teams are usually strong in that division, Linnets got promoted last year, 1874 Northwich are in there and the old Vics are still somehow clinging on. Winsford are comparatively a big club too but they seem to have found their level in the NWCFL.

AFC Liverpool appear to be their version of FCUM - formed by 1,000 disenfranchised Liverpool fans with a one member one vote setup.
City of Liverpool FC appear to have copied that a few years later, supporter-owned, and have risen above their neighbours in the pyramid already.

Other name I recognise is Karl Clair, who was player of the season at Vauxhall’s in their last season in the Conference North.

AFC Liverpool never quite took off like FCUM did, not sure why. City of Liverpool seems more like an attempt to get a third Liverpool club going without any connection to the big two. Never sure what I think about that kind of idea. Any supporter-owned non-league interest is good, but then I think you've already got the likes of Marine, Prescot Cables and Bootle over there who would welcome more support.
I like their season tickets though!

Widnes have had 2 consecutive promotions on crowds rarely more that 50.

I was under the impression that AFC Liverpool were the Scouse equivalent of FCUM as someone mentioned above. So why were CoL formed? Is the fact they play in Purple supposed to represent fans of both Liverpool & Everton?

Is the fact they play in Purple supposed to represent fans of both Liverpool & Everton? I vaguely remember reading how they wanted a blank canvas non league team that could represent a Liverpool as a whole. I remember hearing about why people couldn’t go and watch Litherland, Bootle, Marine etc but this was seen as a ‘new start’ I think.

Yes AFCL are the FCUM of LFC, whereas CoLFC are just a "new" club with no previous ties. I hope those acronyms make sense.

Initialisms I believe is the correct term for those that are spelled out like FBI. Acronyms for ones said as a word like FIFA.
