The FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw commences at 13:00 tomorrow where we will be drawn out of the hat. In previous seasons we have entered in the 4th Qualifying Round, but now we are back in the National League North we will begin our venture in the 2nd Qualifying Round. The ties will take place on Saturday 22nd September. On the positive side, it’s a good chance to earn a little bit more money than in previous years, but knowing us we’ll probably crash out at the first attempt. Also, this draw will be regionalised so we won’t have to travel as far as Truro or Plymouth Parkway.
In my opinion I’d prefer us to get drawn at home to a lower club in the first few rounds. Knowing us though, we’ll probably draw Chorley or Kidderminster away. Who’d be up for a trip to Irlam, Mossley, or even the mighty Anstey Nomads (who I have never heard of before)? Because these are the type of teams that we could get 😂. This is completely random, but I ‘’predict’’ us to be paired up with Bamber Bridge away, an old Evo-Stik friend.

There is already a thread with this title. It contained last year's draw, so probably best for that one to sink down the forum to avoid confusion

Is the draw live on radio at all? Rio, any idea on this?

Is the draw live on radio at all? Rio, any idea on this? I’ve looked but I can’t find anything sorry. TalkSport usually stream the FA Cup draws live but there seems to be a different schedule in place for tomorrow. The best way to follow the draw is to check our Twitter feed or to follow the live blog what the Chronicle will be doing.

Thanks for looking Rio, I know Colin Murray used to have the 4th rnd qual draw on his show, but he's left now.

I’m more worried we’ll get Blyth away again!
Knaresborough would be a good day out.

We haven't been able to win one game of football the last few years in this competition so it's hard to see us winning three. The mention of Chester in the FA Cup brings on a cold sweat after those recent debacles! Let's hope for a home draw against the lowest ranked team in our zone - there's a few real banana skins in there.

That would be Parkgate by the looks of things, which is in Rotherham and not the place near Neston with the ice cream shop, sadly.

Happy with that, although teams at that level can be better than you think.
They might well bring quite a few as they're well supported at that level and we're probably the biggest club they've ever played.

I imagine the club will be very happy with this tie. They beat most teams at that level in terms of attendance with their lowest this season still being over 400. I see them bringing at least 300 to the ground for there biggest game. They had nearly 700 against Runcorn compared to about 50 going the Runcorn town home games.

My mate plays for them. A club defo on the up and they’ll be well up for this! I think their supporters got the draw they wanted by the sounds of things and they’ll bring a good following. Craig Cairns is a goal machine at that level and one to watch.
Home draw against a lower league side is all you ask really. When was our last home game in the FA Cup? The Barnsley replay I reckon.

Yep it would be Barnsley and I reckon Gateshead five years ago was the last time we were actually drawn at home in the FA Cup.

Think I'm right in saying we haven't even scored a goal in the FA Cup since Mahon put us ahead at Southend, four years ago!

South Shields v Stockport or Lymington/Lydley v Torquay are probably more likely.

Wait a sec... we’ve actually been drawn at home??? I think that this is a great draw all round really. It’s a great chance for us to progress, whilst City Of Liverpool seem happy about this draw too. I don’t know loads about them, but I do believe that they are a team on the up and have had a successful few years, so it could be a potential banana skin for us. At least we have managed to avoid the likes of Chorley and Kidderminster away. Happy with this! COYB!!! 🔵⚪️🏆

I saw them at Whitchurch Alport season before last. They took over 400 there. They might be a good pay day for us especially if we win.

Whitchurch play at City of Liverpool tomorrow night in the North West Counties Premier. No doubt CoL will be buoyed by today’s draw but don’t write them off, they have had a very strong start to their season. Formed not so long ago either they appeared to breeze through the leagues and now look well equipped this season.
