I noticed that our benefactor was at these last 2 matches
I took a mate to a rare game (for him) last night and he asked me what is happening with regards to this welcome windfall and I had to tell him I haven't a clue.
Does anyone know if there actually anything happening yet?

Think he needs to invest a little into the playing budget.

Think he needs to invest a little into the playing budget. Why? The managers agreed to a budget when they took the job - one they said they could use to build a team which can reach the play-offs. We're 7 games in - calm down.

It will be spent on infrastructure which will benefit the club for many years to come.
I would imagine that at such a pivotal stage - and knowing that he's a successful businessman - things are getting costed out for whatever plans he / the board have in mind.

Think Jeff mentioned a couple of weeks back that there were certainly some ongoing discussions with regards to how the money will be spent, some of which will take a while to come to fruition but there might be some things that will be publicised in the near future.

Think he needs to invest a little into the playing budget. I think a tiny amount has already helped the playing squad, we can't go daft even though we could do with at least 4 replacements.

So are you saying that we are still in the planning stage. That's all I wanted to know. Any idea what sort of things are being costed?

Online ticketing portal is already one thing that has been paid for by Mr. Murphy.

I still want that Subway The fact that we are still in the planning stage suggests to me that big things are afoot. Redoing the areas behind the East Stand perhaps?

The damage to the ground has also had a knock on effect to the progress of the updated infrastructure. All hands were put on ensuring he safety certificate was reinstated.

I was in the Blues Bar for a presentation evening on Monday and the place just looks so tired now and is in need of at least a lick of paint and I think that goes for the whole Stadium in general.
You only have to look at what Southport are doing to their ground to get some ideas, they've refurbished their main bar and from the photo's I've seen it looks fantastic.
This is where we need to be focusing and making the bars appeal to people and businesses that would want to hold functions there.

I think he alluded to the 'match day experience' in the press - which may well reinforce this.

Part of that being the PA system and well, we've just got a new one on the insurance so that frees up some cash.

Part of that being the PA system and well, we've just got a new one on the insurance so that frees up some cash. In the Chronicle Q & A with the chairman about 10 days ago it was asked if the budgeted PA system money would now be made available to strengthen the squad. It was a firm "No", so I can only guess the funds will be moved onto other infrastructure projects.

Online ticketing portal is already one thing that has been paid for by Mr. Murphy. That cost money to install, but will not create any additional profit, it'll just make tickets easier to access. It's just really bringing us into the modern era.

A win against City of Liverpool and that £9,000 could get us a few decent players on loan. Oh how we could do with Reece Hall-Johnson right now.

RHJ would be an absolute clown to consider a loan to a league below the one he stood out a mile in last season. One of the best full backs I’ve seen for us in years

I don't suppose the council would do it, but a drop of tarmac on the car park wouldn't go amiss! Almost had to swim on it at the Bradford game!
