Without sounding patronising, I wanted to say a big thank you to the fans at tonight's game.
I've lost count over the years gone by when we get a low attendance at home, we seem to really produce a great performance (even being back to the Sealand Road days when we beat the likes of Birmingham 4-0 and Fulham 7-0), but the thing that really stood out to me tonight was the support for the lads when we were pegged back to 2-1 after their penalty.
The sound of 'come on City' going round the ground was clear enough indication that everyone knew just how much of a shift our lads had put in and anything other than a home win would've been extremely harsh on us.
I've said it to many tonight but that was one of the most complete performances I've seen over the last few years by a Chester side, and yes I know we're in a lower league than we'd like to be, but the simple fact is that was against one of the most fancied teams in our league and without several injured players.
The fans though really stepped up tonight and I'm more than sure that was a driving force behind how the lads on the pitch secured the win.
Tonight the players gave the fans something to shout about, but when they needed the support most of all, they got it, in the best possible fashion.
Thank you again, and roll on Saturday!
COYB!

These lads give everything unlike last season’s shower, so when they are running their hearts out they deserve our support. So it should also be thanks to these hard working and committed players.

It would have been an absolute travesty if Kiddy had got something from that game. I never seen our keeper have so little to do! But at 2-1, I’m sure most were thinking that we’d probably do a ‘Chester’ and throw it away as we’ve been so accustomed to it in recent years. But this team and management are made of sterner stuff, which is great to see.

On the topic of the attendance Jeff - how come we rarely ever find out how many away fans there are?

On the topic of the attendance Jeff - how come we rarely ever find out how many away fans there are? Not sure why Danny, but I believe there were 143 from kiddy last night. Jeff

Are the lights around G block going to be working any time soon by the way? Don’t usually sit there but wouldn’t fancy sitting in the dark!
