That ginger lad who was a 2nd half substitute went for one of our lads, hence the melee. Crowd given as 650, but I felt there was close to 1,000 there. Main stand looked a third to half full and there were about 125 goats. 650 was probably about right. There weren't too many in blocks C to A.

At the end of the day itâs just a youth team game and everyone needs to treat it as such. It was nice to hear "Never felt more like singing the blues" again. Towards the end it felt just like any other derby game and the lads were fantastic - really digging in when it looked like Wrexham were getting on top in the second half. They did us all proud. Anyone know who said "do you know who I am?" on the Wrexham bench? Made a right tit of himself

Couldnât make it last night but have seen a couple of posts on Red Passion claiming they played the better football and we were playing long ball. Is this a fair summary or a bitter interpretation of the nightâs events from over the border?

Is this a fair summary or a bitter interpretation of the nightâs events from over the border? Itâs always a different view from the opposition. The first XI 94th goal was just a hoof and a hopeful leg stuck out which ended in the net. Not once did it mention the vision from James and the timed precision from BH. Bitter all day for me!!

Is this a fair summary or a bitter interpretation of the nightâs events from over the border? We scored early doors they were probably then the better team. They kept the ball better than us and but didn't really have an end product until their best player (7) scored from distance. We were under the cosh a bit, but they had no answer to our very well delivered corners. Their second was a consolation after the referee took centre stage and I think the Chester lads just switched off because the ref was making a right tit of himself. Carl Ruffer was sitting just behind us and I only recognised him when he went ballistic when his boy scored. Pity about that ginger lad loosing it after the final whistle.

Strong rumours one or two of the young seals were chanting "we hate Wrexham".
That's what we want. Up the young seals đ

I would say that would be a fair assessment of the first half but it was a clear tactical change by Cal over their normal style, once they scored though we took hold of the game, kept the ball well and really had a go at them playing the style of football that we are used to seeing from our youth.

Is this a fair summary or a bitter interpretation of the nightâs events from over the border? Fair to say they had the majority of possession (some of those Wrexham lads were bloody quick) but we were definitely the harder working team. Cal and his team had a game plan and it worked. LMH was a handful for the Wrexham defence. Our back four and midfield were immense, dealt with everything. Molyneux stood out for me. For all their possession our keeper was never really tested. We were a real threat at set pieces. Molyneux takes a hell of a corner and our big lads bullied them. They lost their discipline and we kept ours.

The young lads think they are playing for a big club and it comes as quite a shock when a team from a lower league can beat them. You could see during the warm up some of them have a 'billy big bollocks' attitude. The first team are exactly the same when we turn them over...wanting to fight everyone. And the ''you let your club die'' chant is getting boring now, in fact it's becoming quite entertaining

How can it be both boring and entertaining?! Because it's like an old record going on and on.....but entertaining because they actually think it bothers us

Fantastic watching those highlights and seeing just how much it means to those lads. They've obviously been coached really well and know the importance of the fixture.
To be fair to them, Wrexham looked right up for it too. Bodes well for the future.

Shame about the "Billy Big B" quote further up, I suppose all clubs have their Muppets.

Good game. Good players on both sides. Plenty of heart on show.
Definitely see some of them progressing well into the men's game.
