While some handed out abuse, the general feeling on here after the disaster at Blyth was to give the management 10 games before judging. Yesterday the 10 was up, 9 league, 1 cup. Things certainly don't look as bleak now, do they ?

After 10 games P10 W5 D3 L2 F20 A16
Pretty good considering we let in half our conceded goals in one game.

If we lose against Chorley, they'll be 'frauds' again unfortunately.
They're doing a great job, would have been easy to let the situation out of control after the Blyth result but they've refocused the group and we're looking good.

I'm liking the commitment of this team and I'm starting to look forward to games now. The difficulty in turning this club around after two dire years of football at the Deva should not be underestimated. I love watching players put a 100% in especially if they are holding down a day job as well. Keep it going and the crowds will come back

I’m one who said I was giving it ten games prior to making a judgement, and in saying so it related specifically to league games. Almost there, and an FA Cup win into the bargain hasn’t hurt, has it? I’m certainly not feeling like I did with McCarthy or Bignot, so Saturday offers a great test and, particularly, an opportunity to avenge the Blyth performance. Note that I say performance, not result.

To be honest if we stayed up I would of been happy. Everything is slowly going in the right direction. Steady improvements across the club and learning from mistakes. How the young players are being integrated into the first is great. It's shows there is a way through for youth set up to promote and encourage players to join. Very few senior journey men, just the right few ones with a good attitude to guide the younger lads.

To get us as competitive as we are after 10 games with a new squad after last years shambles shouldnt be under estimated. It was a massive job.Good to see the balence of youth and experience. For once the club looks to be going in the right direction. And on their day look a match for most teams in this league.

hah I've seen only 6 games, but can't complete whole immagination about 10 games? The players are strong and agressive, but really if they lose against Chorley, it will be very sad(not only for me). So I don't even want to watch this game, I'll just check the statistics 777score.com

The move to a back 4 was very important. The loss of Tuton meant we have a role for a 'player in the hole' i think they were after from the start (GG was meant for that position)
Currently Iwan is filling that role but i anticipate if GG is going to be released or not play for us this season, we'll be looking for an older option in that role.
In terms of additions, centrally Noble is an able backup for Stopforth/Roberts/a disappointing Burton, i'd worry if we lost Grand who would play left back but there is cover now for other positions in a small squad. Perhaps if i'd say we need one player now i'd say another winger as i'm not sold on the Jordan kid.

He’ll come good.

Burton has been very good these last 2 games He's no Gary Roberts. By that token, Gary Roberts is no Gary Stopforth. Why the comparisons?

I thought Burton had his best game for us last night. Tackling is abit rash but overall was very good. But I'm very impressed in stopforth a proper all rounder that guy!

I like Scott Burton, as as someone mentioned above he's had a stop/start season so won't be 100% match fit. Him and Stopforth love a good tackle, but neither have the quality on the ball of Gary Roberts. Last night there were times it got a bit scrappy in the middle and they are both effective at doing the dirty work, but we needed someone like Roberts to actually put his foot on it and play some passes. It's nice we've got options though, last season I was longing for a ball winning centre mid and now we finally have some.
