At the match and the ground is empty. Where is everyone? Weather? Big rugby match? Mid table? Disappointing though. Have Blueslive arrived as I haven't got any sound yet.

Big Chris is away again.
This is beyond a joke now. I get he has media commitments but if those commitments mean he can't make it to a match on a regular basis then he needs to step aside and allow us to bring someone else in who CAN commit to both match days and training.

Fair play to the Harry Mac lads today.
5-3-2 isn't working, desperately missing the extra man in midfield. Jonny Hunt has been outstanding up to now.

18 National League teams have now played over half an hour each = 9 hours of "attacking effort" and so far only 2 goals. Poor do!

"Richards offside". "Richards offside". " Richards lost possession". "Richards lost footing".
How about "Richards scores a great goal" for a change?

Utterly dire first half. Richards especially dreadful but not one effort either on or off target. So boring it's untrue.

Are you at the game or just spouting rubbish about one player behind your PC? He wasn't even that bad, no worse than Durrell or Obrien when he came on. Deserves a draw, got beat. Didn't capitalise early second half dominance and that's what happens.

Awful first half and not much better in the second. Neither side deserved to win but if a goal was going to cone, I didn't feel like we'd get it.
Richards is becoming more of a joke with each passing game. He can't still be here next season.
I'm worried about McCarthy too. All this part time business with Iwelumo is no good. Macca clearly needs a full time assistant who knows what he's doing. We're going backwards at an alarming rate.
The only consolation is that Woking got beat too.

Yet another 90th minute defeat and it's all we deserved. No wonder the crowd was only 1,600. People are not going to pay £18 to watch shite like that.
Utter dross and worrying. My mate described Richards as like a motor boat without a driver. There must be someone better in the Youth team.
6 defeats from our last 7 matches and 50 points seeming miles away.
More worryingly Eastleigh looked like a team out of form.

Well that wont attract the crowds, a real poor result and so depressing to concede late on again. they got lucky but we didnt have much either, poor game of football.

I worry a bit about the confidence of this team with these late defeats. I think three of our last four losses have been down to goals in the 89th minute or later.
That Dagenham game was a real crusher and I feel like we're still licking our wounds from it. You can't play well every week but recently it feels like whether we play well or not, the end result is the same. It's like when you're playing Football Manager and you get those spells where whatever you do, the computer's decided you're going to lose.

Poor game from two poor teams Almost felt like an end of season encounter which is a horrible thought in mid-March, where's a decent performance going to come from to keep our dwindling band of fans interested?
Desperately looking for positives and the best I can come up with is:
Dawson looks promising; another presence in midfield to go alongside Shaw, also a hint of creativity there and my God don't we need it! 50/50 between him and Hunt for MoM - Hunt excellent in first half especially An improvement from Richards - still not good enough but an improvement!
But overall we looked what we are - a lower mid-table team, short on confidence and praying for the season to end
On to Tuesday and hope as always that I see a performance to make me go home happy

Let's be honest, it has been pretty dreadful since Sharps left. There has been the odd decent performance, but consistently it hasn't been good enough. I'm pretty fed up of listening to the manager and CEO trooping out unbridled positivity when the tangible reality is very different. Crowds are plummeting, meaning a knock-on effect on budgets and we have a manager who is being badly let down by certain players, yet doesn't seem to want to hold them to account. Richards went off, didn't shake McCarthy's hand and left down the tunnel, not to be seen again. That summed up his attitude, but I've no doubt he'll be back up front again on Tuesday, pretending to be a footballer.

I can pinpoint the moment this season started to go downhill, it was when Johnny Hunt was sent off at Solihull on Boxing Day. McCarthy had to reshuffle almost for the first time and he hasn’t stopped since, week after week. He’s abandoned what brought him success in the first place and now much like Steve Burr exactly a year ago he’s trying something different every week to see if it works to get us going again. Five at the back today against another really out of form side at home, I can’t have that myself, it’s terrible. I really do like Macca but he’s made so many poor decisions since Christmas. It’s no wonder the players are low on confidence or that crowds are down.
We didn’t deserve to lose as Eastleigh were really poor themselves but we’re the architects of inviting pressure. It galls me how we bring everybody back to defend set pieces leaving us with absolutely no outlet. There’s not much else to say about the game as pretty much nothing happened. I will mention Lucas Dawson though who was really good on his full debut in fairness. He has a good looking range of passes and one in the first half was magic. Shame we just didn’t have anybody forward for him to aim many more to.
