I went there last Saturday and the place is dead and really depressing. Maybe they're happy it's the 10th anniversary soon.

FACT
You'll never see the sub-headings
Domestic
and
European
....on Chester's Wiki page
Not in my lifetime. And the Isle Of Man Tournament doesn't count either.

Depends which people they asked from Chester. If it included some of the moanergroaners who write on here we would not get a high position. Talking to sychdyn blue alone would knock us down 100 places.

You have to question the accuracy and validity of the survey when, in the opening paragraph, they describe Wrexham as a city. However I did like it when they talked about 'good neighbours', as it can only mean us Cestrians. Wrexham a city? Not in my lifetime, despite the repeated efforts of their Parish Council.

Which we can take comfort in knowing it must be even more depressing that European giants like yourselves are competing in the same pub league as the dog and duck these days.

I think this is a wind-up. As said Wrexham never has been and never will be a city. It is totally lacking in any culture; the town centre is a mess and there is just nothing to commend it.
Surprised Chester's not on the list, but we're in a mess ourselves at the moment with ALL the building projects running way late.

Chester centre is great to visit and, despite being from Wrexham, I'd have to say Wrexham centre (with the exception of Eagles Meadow) is in need of some tlc. But to be fair they didn't ask about shopping centres, they asked about happiness. In respect of your visit Rio, there are far more pretentious shoppers in Chester than Wrexham. (possibly because there are more shoppers 😆)

Goats n Roses comes across like some tiresome Liverpool fan whose response to any jibe is just to start reeling off the club's honours list - which isn't really half as special as he likes to make out. The year Wrexham won the LDV they still got relegated.

These so called 'european nights' were crap anyway. The Welsh cup was usually used by us, Hereford, Shrewsbury as a run out for the fringe players. We had no chance of getting into europe even if we won it, because the Welsh kept it 'in house'. If they still want to gloat about European adventure they could always join the LOW and enter the Welsh cup. They year on year moan about no getting out of this league. Solution?? Resign and piss off and play in your own domestic league and cup.
