Is it me or did our bad run coincide with Lynch replacing Injured Roberts in goal ? I think Lynch is a decent number 2 but far too inexperienced to be our main keeper .
He has had a few decent games but makes a lot of errors , is beaten from range a lot, awful at crosses and atrocious at kicking .
We need to be signing an experienced goalkeeper for next season in my view !
I would resign Lynch but he needs to work with Felgate and improve his game before becoming a regular .

I dont think the bad run has anything to do with Lynch. In fact he has played quite well at times, both Lynch and Roberts are of a similar standard in my view, though both have made some errors over the last month or so.
The reason for the blip was the injury of both Mahon and Hughes. Hughes was fit after about 3 games and should have gone back to centre half straight away. Unfortunately since then as we have been saying for well over a month, the side needs to be 4-4-2 with Hughes at centre back. In fact when that last happened, 1-0 win to us against Southport. It isnt a coincidence that we do well this way, it is a fact.
If we had played that way yesterday from the start rather than try to jig it about with 15 mins left i'm positive we would have played and done better as a team.
Any team needs a solid foundation to push from and unfortunately without Sam at Centre back for the full 90 mins and without a wizard/creative type player like Mahon about to the front of this we are going to find it a struggle til something changes.

You say Lynch is far too inexperienced but he's played More senior games for Wycome than Roberts has for Walsall ? |

Bloody hell Lynch is to blame now I think the only one who hasnt been blamed is Hughes christ I really do hope none of the players or JM read DC their confidence is low enough. Yes I know this run is alarming and very worrying indeed but we have 10 games left and we really do need to get behind our players as they are the only ones who can save us now. Lets leave all this blaming of individuals until the end of the season in the meantime GET BEHIND THE BOYS |

Lynch has played at Wembley for Wycombe in their play-off and has said it's helped him cope with any pressure. It's certainly not inexperience and I think we should definitely keep Lynch in goal since he's his permanently, instead of Roberts who's off soon.

I am sorry but we have been weak in the goalkeeper position ever since returning to the conference, also this great defence everyone is going on about......It was good for about 10 games then awful for rest ! I don't buy this theory that we are solid with Sam Hughes centre back yes he is a good player but the defence as a whole is crap !

It's not mad it's true, as stated he is ideal for number 2 spot while he learns and improves but a big commanding experienced keeper is needed !

Was at the game yesterday and lynch played fine joe harts not keeping the goal out!! He didnt drop a cross and kicked the ball real well and looked sharp when called upon! Not sure what your on about really |

Kicked the ball well ? He kicked it out numerous times and does every week . He is crap at crosses too ! All good teams start with a solid keeper.

Youve got your mind set but not sure you will find many who agree!!! |

What a load of crap. The problem is entirely at the other end of the pitch with certain players not even trying. Lynch has been excellent more than once and anyone can suffer a loss of form. At least he put a shift in. |

Unfortunately at this level big commanding experienced keepers are like prolific strikers, there aren't many of them about who'll come to a side like Chester, as anyone whose decent or experienced will be snapped up by someone else offering better terms, sometimes by a club at a level below this one. |
