I always recall thinking Rapley wasn't actually that bad, but seems I was in a minority of one.
I think Harry White would absolutely be knocking on the door of our worst ever squad.

Scored an absolute belter against Northwich and he put a shift in at Shrewsbury away when we needed to draw and Clare couldn’t play. Other than that he was turd. He was no Steve Finney though. I despair at the standard of player in recent seasons. It seems a never ending conveyor of crap. This season we’ve got the basis of a good team but some of the players on the fringe, or getting minutes due to injuries and suspension are terrible.

Crapley missed a sitter in that Shrewsbury game which would have won us the game on what was our biggest rival’s (at the time) home ground. That would’ve been the best way to have won the title that season. Harry White does remind me of Crapley to be fair.

Hasn’t White scored against Chester on four or five separate occasions though? Solihull, Kidderminster and Borehamwood?

Huge away following, top of the table clash, proper traditional football ground and a decent result. Would love to have occasions like that again, at that kind of level.

Harry White kicked a football as if it was a hot potato that had just fallen out of an oven.

Is it just me who thought he was alright? Couldn't hit a barn door, granted, but put himself about and kept defenders busy, possibly freeing up more space for the likes of Mooney and Mahon. The least you expect from a striker though, is the ability to hit a barn door though isn't it? Otherwise he might as well play centre half.

I'd expect him to hold the ball up, win headers, give defenders a tough time and free up space for other players. If he could score goals as well that would be a huge bonus.
Not saying I thought he fantastic, or what we needed, but not deserving of the scorn some gave him. I've seen far worse strikers.
