To anyone who has Twitter, the club are running a giveaway for two hospitality tickets for Chester v Barrow on 28th March. Simply RT and follow chesterfc to enter. Good work by the club, listening to the idea of a devachatter.

Great idea this and I'm glad the club have listened. Couldn't they have done it on facebook as well? They could have done a share button but then they'd have to give away more tickets. Or if they were only giving away two they'd have to pick winners who had shared on Facebook or retweeted on Twitter and it would get really confusing, even worse for people who only have Twitter or Facebook. Easier to just have one.

Well done, the type of thing that we should be doing on social media every week.

Think Facebook is the more popular medium but this is a big step in the right direction

Think Facebook is the more popular medium but this is a big step in the right direction They could alternate social media so if they do another giveaway it is on Facebook.

Over 200 retweets in less than 4 hours last night.
@shitchester retweeted it this morning (has over 20,000 local followers).
I've asked the Media team post a link to the tweet on facebook, to try and get maximum exposure on both platforms. Facebook users can just click on the link which can take them into Twitter and you can like the page and retweet from there.
I will ask a few other popular local businesses and organisations/groups to help promote this.

Just to add, can someone (not currently banned) on the old site go and post the link to this on there?
Ta.
I've approached the Chronicle (Dave Powell via Twitter), and Chester Zoo and asked for the article to be retweeted - any help appreciated.
If you've not already done so, please retweet this asap. Competition ends THIS Friday. Don't miss out!

These are the just type of initiatives where we can all work collectively and help with exposing our club. We know there is much to do, but hopefully this shows that if it's believed an idea has legs, we will give it ago. We just need to make sure we are working together and not against one another. If there are more ideas that people think could benefit the football club, then as mentioned before, email fans@chesterfc.com. From the feedback I received, Al did this with "like and share" idea, so yes, there is somebody willing to listen and take onboard ideas. Hopefully this is just the beginning. Thanks, Alan

Sent onto the Zoo asking for a retweet but nothing back as of yet. If anyone knows of groups of locals who might be interested, tag them in on twitter and let's get those retweets rolling in. It's all good advertising

While I'm on one. Can you quickly ask Albert to pin the competition tweets. They'll get lost in all the other messages otherwise. They need to be the first thing people see when they visit the page until the competition ends.

BUMP. Just 2 days left until the competition CLOSES! ENTER AND GET RETWEETING GUYS. Looks like almost 300 hits so far I'm sorry but 300 hits is just pathetic When you look at how many the Macc game poster had (5). I think it's quite successful tbh. Remember this costs the club nothing, when you take into account the exposure we will get from the free advertising. Those 300 people retweeting may have 40, 50 or in the case of @shit chester and @real ale cyclist have thousands of followers. What I think I could do moving forward is to work more in partnership with other local businesses to help promote them when they run a promotional initiative and they return the favour when we do as well. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There's so many other things we could do, and I have lots of, what I think, are really positive ideas to help improve the way the club works, hopefully i'll be able to work with the board and volunteers to bring those ideas to life. I really think I can make a difference with how we promote ourselves, how we communicate with ALL our fans (not just CFU members) and the wider community.

It's not 300 hits it's 300 retweets, id imagine the views/hits will be in the thousands possibly tens of thousands depending who retweeted. Would be good to know how many hits it had compared to previous games which struggled to get 10 retweets.

Less than a day left to go until the competition ends.
If you've not already done so, get on Twitter like the page and retweet to be in with a chance of this great prize.

Exactly, I once had a tweet go 'viral', it managed 900 retweets - but that tweet was seen by 110,000 people - so I'd imagine 300 retweets mean the club has already appeared on the Twitter timelines of probably around 35,000 people. Not really 'pathetic'.
