Winger Ben McKenna has signed for Chester FC today from Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC. When we beat Bradford 5-3 back in September he was on the scoresheet and should bring a lot of attributes here. The lad knows this league well as he has played for the likes of Stockport County, Southport, Curzon Ashton and has been a regular starter for title-chasing Bradford. I’m sure he will bring that here and hopefully he will go on to have a successful spell. Welcome to Chester FC Ben 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️!

Why are they willing to let him go would be my first question 🤔 I'm afraid it's an Underwhelmed from me 🙂.....until proved differently 😉 Now if it was Paul McKenna that would be Magic😍

Interesting.... a winger.
Wonder if this spells the end of Mooney who, to use a phrase, has been somewhat underwhelming recently
Not quite sure how this solves our striking dilemma but, hey, let's see how it pans out

Sounds like he’s mainly used as a right winger, but can also play left.
It will be the kick up the arse Mooney and Mahon need imo.
What I don’t quite get is that McAllister played for free last week, but if he sees that we’ve signed a new player until the end of the season on a contract, then surely he’ll be asking questions?

Why would he? Different circumstances entirely. McAllister has been injured since the summer and we are an opportunity for him to get back playing and earn a contract. He looked good to me so would be a good addition but that’s based on one performance let’s leave that to the managers. McKenna on the other hand wanted the move, had a contract he could have sat on but wants to show us what he can do. Regardless let’s get behind them, they are Seals now! COYS

Don't know much about him but hopefully he will put pressure on Mahon and Mooney who have been off the boil for a good few games now
Welcome Ben

Maybe gives Mooney a break as well. He’s been magic at times but at the moment he’s struggling a little and we are right to give him a break given his age. He’s only learning his trade.

' the Club today only exists with outside cash injections. Sadly, this is not an investment into infrastructure but rather is simply to pay the club’s daily expenses. Losses (in excess of 1 million) have been paid out in just a few seasons and the Club is about the same that it was. We have done well thanks to the excellent management team on the pitch but the Club is about the same that it was in 2015'bpafc.com/director-jonathan-collura-plans-for-making-bradford-park-avenue-a-sustainable-club/

I thought he looked good in the first half but faded when put out on the wing.Looks a good prospect.
