Just been watching England and they have bored the arse off me. Is it just me or has top flight football just become too tedious much prefer watching the Blues even when losing

It's nice t England that are boring, its the opposition and their lack of ambition to actually have a go.

sterling spends less time on his feet than kane richards, without the constant bickering towards the ref though

A lot of the time it is like watching a game of chess. How often do you see about 20 short passes being made without gaining an inch. Our level of football cannot obviously compete with the skill aspect but for me it's a damn sight more exciting.

They do always seem a bit slow-paced. I don't know why England play like this as it's not the strength of the English game to play in this way.
That said, I do feel a bit sorry for the players sometimes because nothing is ever good enough for the fans and media. It must be a total chore playing for England. Maybe we've just got to accept our place in world football. Look at some of the countries that have got to a major semi-final more recently than England - Turkey (twice), South Korea, Croatia, Greece, Russia and even Wales. All in all, a 2-0 win against Lithuania is good enough.
I find the demise of Holland quite interesting. Didn't qualify for the last Euros and now with a lot to do again after losing to Bulgaria. It seems surprising, but really it's a fairly small country that's just had a fantastic football tradition for the last 40 years or so, and maybe that's coming to an end like it did for the Hungary side that was one of the superpowers not long before them.

I didn't even know they were playing and couldn't be more disinterested, in how they get on?

That would be my dream mate. The whole point of the post was I would rather watch non league football than the premier league.

I recorded the match, transferred it onto DVD and I'm selling them off to insomniacs. I'll be a millionaire this time next week!

They failed to qualify for the 82 world Cup, after being beaten in the final in 78. They also never made the 86 finals or 2002 either. They also missed out on the 84 Euro Championships as well.

Admittedly there are always a few that you come away thinking you'd rather have had a day out but conference football is full of action packed games. That said, the home game against Gateshead a couple of years ago was one of the best conference footballing games i've seen. Remember Curtis got sent off for them that day and we won 2-1 i believe. We can't be compared to international football it's dull and bland!

I did say I hadn't seen many exciting games, which means I found a few entertaining yes. We've been okay in the majority of games I've seen this season, but I wouldn't class the games as exciting, and the majority of last season was a total write off under Burr which was Predictable and very poor at times.

And here lies part of the problem why attendances have dropped. The football served up at times has not been worth the entrance fee to a lot of people. The same with England last night - yes they won, but it was a poor spectacle and if I'd have paid top dollar for a seat at Wembley yesterday I'd be questioning wether it was Worth it.

That said though, you're seeing top, top footballers and big name stars from the countries biggest clubs. Sometimes you can go to an away game and spend a good £70 including transport and food to watch us play Dave the postman and Ryan the bl**dy Bartender play against us. All prices are irrelevant IMO, if you support the team, and can afford to attend, then you'll always get people that go to games. It's the growth that will be affected as you say.

The English premier league is so hard to adapt to because it's so quick and powerful.
Not any more it isn't, we've become obsessed with possession football and as a result we've not touched the final stages of the champions league despite dominating in the mid-2000s.
Play our football our way, stop being a poor imitation of whoever is flavour of the week.
