Another tedious affair trudging away defeat after defeat Macca The Clown loves this squad but I don't they bore me ridged no attacking flare and crowds continue to fall it will be sub 1000 soon - can't wait for his interview tomorrow NOT - This squad is sub standard and is that 8 defeats from 11 - ironic the Circus is next to the ground because Macca can take the players there to entertain the famlies they will be in hysterics watching their ball control - pissed off again!

Based on your comments I assume you wouldn't have been happy with 13th position at the start of the season? If that's correct what position would you have been happy with?

I will tell you again it's not about position but being entertained 5th from bottom would be fine as long as I was entertained

Do you have to do one of these threads every time we lose a game?
You're awfully quiet on here every time we win.
Bet you couldn't wait to get home tonight to post that embarrassing rant.

I didn't find his rant embarrassing. Why can't he have an opinion different to yours and express it. If you're happy with the season and our performances, just ignore him.

I think one point from the last 7 home games is pretty abject, but McCarthy is not that bothered as he's here for another 2 seasons.
I was disappointed tonight at the absolute lack of quality up front. Someone on the match thread said that Richards had a good game. Why on earth did he beat a man in the penalty area and then go down looking for a pen. Answer: he's not capable of keeping his feet and beating the goalkeeper. He's conned refs a few times already and they're wise to him now.

No need for this, the least we can do is back Macca in the tough run we are in.

No need for this, the least we can do is back Macca in the tough run we are in. tbf he's been backed massively all season, but there's only so long you can go along happy clapping. Yes im sure at the start of the season we'd of all taken 13th, but its clear the way we have been playing the last few months there are serious issues which need addressing. Whether Macca is one of them im unsure.

There's been some good: Dagenham away for example Some bad. But you've got to look at it as a whole season rather than just a poor run of games, yes we're on a slide but we were in such a good position to slide from that overall I'm very happy with the job Macca has done

Or should you say you were happy withat the job Sharpes did before he left end on November Macca without him can't beat an egg it's so bleeding obvious who was responsible for our good start - this is not just a poor run its a capitulation

The 'happy clapper' tag is just nonsense too. It's just thinking that 13th place is okay and accepting we're in a dry spell.

You could be right that they're on to him.

I always cringe a bit when I hear the word 'entertainment' used about football, especially at our level. I'm not saying you can't see a good game, but does anyone really turn up at the Deva, rubbing their hands with anticipation at the feast of 'entertainment' that awaits?
Generally, I go expecting a long slog where I'll feel a range of emotions, and hopefully we'll be the better side. We're not an audience, we're part of what's going on. 'Entertainment' is an American attitude to sport, where they slouch about in chairs eating pretzals, half-watching some boring, insular sport that nobody apart from them cares about.
Saying that, I do feel for anyone who's been to all of the last nine home games and seen us take just one point and exit two cup competitions. I'm honestly not sure I can ever remember a home run as poor as this.

Expectations change over a course of a season, and from where we were to where we are now it simply isn't good enough.

He had a good first half, faded second half but so did most of the team so no reason to single him out there. I think it sounds boarderline delusional that you think JM is happy with the current run of form just because he has a two year deal. He didn't work harder to gain a deal and start slacking, sometimes the players are accountable and not many are playing well at the moment, not just Richard and Hudson. Notice we took Hudson off a couple of weeks ago at 0-0 and lost. Richards didnt start the game before last, we still lost, played last week, we won. It's not just two players that make a team. So many players have dipped in form since we lost our unbeaten run it's unreal and JM has to find a way of making them believe again.
