Well done to the ladies! It's a pity they don't get more publicity and attention.

A big well done to the girls, sets them up for the start of the season. Chester FC Women will kick off the 2019/20 season against Burscough Dynamo Ladies at the Deva Stadium on Sunday 1st September (2pm KO). With a new manager and several new signings on board, Chester FC Women head into the new North West Women’s Regional Football League campaign in optimistic mood. Martin Fitzsimons’ side will be aiming to improve on last season’s mid-table finish in Division One South and the new boss is looking forward to the season opener. Martin said: “Pre-season has been very successful. We’ve deliberately picked some tough opposition for friendlies to really test the squad and they have come up with some very pleasing performances which puts us in a great position. “The response we’ve had on our social media platforms has been nothing short of outstanding, and to kick off our promotion push at the Deva Stadium is a great opportunity for fans to check us out and see what we’re all about.” Admission to the game will be free for all spectators, however donations are welcome with all proceeds going towards the King George V Sports Hub campaign.
Chester FC Women currently play out of Ellesmere Port Sports Village but will relocate to the new sports hub once it is complete. Jim Green, chief executive of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “We’re delighted the Deva Stadium will host Chester FC Women’s opening game and wish to place on record our thanks to the football club. “Women’s football is riding the crest of a wave and this is a great opportunity to showcase the progress Chester FC Women has made. I hope lots of Blues supporters will come along to the game and get behind the team.” The Swansway Chester Stand (East Stand) will be open for the fixture with gates opening at 1.30pm. The Blues Bar will be open for supporters from 12pm and following the game.

Totally outplayed them, I only caught the first half and the standard of football on show was decent. Get down and have a watch some time.
