Who can remember that crazy day in 2000 at Halifax in the early days of the Mad Yanks Great Escape bid ,a stonking 1-0 win in front of a large Blues following courtesy of Luke Beckett early pen and then all hands to the pumps to secure the 3 points, but most of all I remember our first ever mascot sponsored by a football magazine a frigging Parrot who decided to join in the post match warm up much to the crowds amusement and even managed to put Terry's bizarre goalkeeping warm up with Wayne Brown in the shade...crazy days indeed the club was on a knife edge and though i prefer todays security within the club they were much more fun than the present tedium that were served up with 😂

Remember it well! It seemed a long afternoon hanging on to an early lead, but Atkins didn't half assemble a team of scrappers with a big heart. We really thought we could stay up after that game, possibly for the first time that season.
