For example if a message was sent saying Moderation policy has changed and New Members accepted then do we all go back? My post last week seems to have been the catalyst for this split - can't believe there has been no attempt from the original Deva Chat Moderators to rectify the mess they have created - Fred

Fred they've been running that site down for years.
We should focus on just discussing all things CFC and football related without risk of having some jumped up tosspot from Devon bolding their sword of Damocles above our heads

2 of the 3 mods would have to step down and a complete revamp of the forum from top down would need to happen before I went back and even then I couldn't promise I would...
Let's make this forum how it should be, be patient because it won't be perfect and people will probably end up on moderation but in my view it'll be for the right reasons and no grudges.
Fred it wasn't your post in particular, this has been brewing for years mate

No point in going back.
It's clear that the Admins don't care anymore. Been what, 3 days since the move? Not a word from Mr Deva Chat or Krankie in that time. No word either from Canadian Exile or Devon Blue, no word of apology for allowing the board to fall into the state it has done - they just don't give a toss.
There's no going back to DC Oldco now

Made me laugh on the old board, there a couple of posters (NFBF, Ulster blue boy) who say they are staying put on the old site.
What in the heavens for, they will be talking to themselves shortly!

It's up to them what they decide to do, both are good posters. It's not about starting a war between the old and new, it's about getting a fresher community posting, including both old and new. |

DC has just become an exclusive, closed forum for those who managed to register over a year ago. You're going to get the same arguments with the same people over and over again. By the time they've addressed the issues of overzealous Mods and lack of new members, it'll be too late anyway. This forum will be bigger and any teething problems will be sorted out. This forum is very much inclusive and accessible to everyone which can only make for a better, more varied perspective.

There's no animosity here.
Just disappointed in how it all went on the old site. Cant say the writing hadn't been on the wall though.
This site is already bigger than DC oldco now is. The remaining contributors should be welcomed anytime.
