Extract from CFC OWS - This Sunday, come down to the Deva Stadium to watch local footballers take on a team fielded by Bernard Morley’s Step-Father, Gary Bleackley, which will feature a number of players who have turned out for Chester FC and others with Premier League experience. We are also expecting Bern & Jonno themselves to take part in the match. Entry is FREE although the Fundraising Working Group will be out and about as they look to build towards our £20k Squadbuilder #PushForPromotion. Kick Off is 2:30 pm www.chesterfc.com/2019/10/18/squadbuilder-charity-football-match-on-sunday-20-october/

Ian robinson in goal, more work for platty getting pitch ready, he'll only just got back from blyth with pedro, then people moaning about the state of the pitch later in season, deserves a pay rise that lad, 70 hrs worked, paid 37.5

At the ground now, more Stewards and players than fans. Very disappointing.

It’s been on FB twitter and even Dee 106 Attendance was poor though I think for the effort the volunteers put in, but £500 is £500 at the end of the day. Shame all those that criticise the club for. Not doing much don’t turn up when they do!!

Enjoyed it, a shame there weren't many fans in though.

Have to admit it was disappointing not to see it on Twitter and Facebook official site on Sunday morning. I do think the official twitter site could do more to promote fundraising groups etc, instead of just the first team and youth team. £600+ is a fantastic effort.

Yeah the lack of build up and notice was a bit strange.
I'd forgotten about it until I received an email in the week, saying the game was Saturday 20th October. It was only when I read that Bern and Jonno would be playing that I realised it was on a Sunday.

We complained about the lack of exposure on the official site/socials to be fair, i know the fundraising team were working hard pushing their end but this game just wasn't anywhere near as visible as it should have been. Chester Supporters FC paid £100 towards that total but it was far short of what we have raised in previous games for HOGS and KGV. A missed opportunity i feel.

Sorry but the players for all teams didn't me give any incentive to go to the game.
