What's happened to Liam? Not even featured on the bench since signing Seems strange he wasn't picked in the squad yesterday as Dave Powell said Durrell Shaw and George were not 100 percent fit but had to be on the bench due to fit squad members. As LD has been training with us for a few weeks before signing he must be ready to feature in some capacity. Steve Burr used to sign players but never play them but i wonder why we signed Liam just to be a squad number as we are always hearing about our budget limitations. The same applies to Will Marsh is he still at the club?I know it was mentioned he was on low wages but it's still a salary to be found for a player who never features It's not as if we have a reserve side to give players a game but with lack of playing time if they were needed for first team duties would they be match fit Good win yesterday needed that as some tough games coming with a threadbare squad

I've heard we've signed him as other clubs were in for him and he's more of a next season player.

Agree with this. Mr Blue could be right, but he is a football player who is contracted to our club who, as far as we know, has no injury keeping him out. I simply do not understand why he can't make the bench at the very least, when we have so many injuries and we always hear the budget limitation talk from Macca. Strange one and it's not the first time it's happened, cough, Marsh.

Anyone who has seen Will Marsh play in a Chester shirt will understand precisely why he can't even make the bench.

Anyone who has seen Will Marsh play in a Chester shirt will understand precisely why he can't even make the bench. If he is that poor why sign him in the first place ? In any case ,now we are safe he should play these fringe players so we can judge for ourselves . A couple of the youth team players deserve a run out too .

totally agree border on the youth players given a run out i'd like to see Ilan Ap-Gareth and Nathan Brown have a run out for the final 6 games

Nathan Brown in particular would run his arse off for the team and is way better than one of our current strikers ,who currently plays every game

I assume the comment re for next season refers to Liam Davies? I think i read he has signed on a short term deal so could leave after that expires anyway. It is all a mystery as mentioned. Jm needs to see him play in match situation before deciding if he is one for next season or not Good call on youth team players we must assume that some at least are registered to play in the national league

It's that he's so unfit. Sorry to be negative Jon but it's a fact.

Yes i think we would have had more out of Thomson, as for Marsh i knew about him when we signed him. He will never feature for the 1st team

George thomson has scored 16 this season for fcmu in the conference north . perhaps he needs to be number one striker and he wasn't going to be that during his time at Chester

It's pointless signing players unless they are ready to go straight into squad as it's a waste of wages we can't afford. Will Marsh has been a bad signing, been paid most of season and contributed zero. Dont understand signing Danny O'Brien either , not played much and we already have young Matty Waters for that role ?

O'Brien is here for free from Wigan academy where he's being released at the end of the season. He's come here to try to earn a contract and sadly hasn't shown anything in a first team game to show he would warrant a place.

I'd definitely get Nathan Brown into the next matchday squad and pick Matty Waters from the start.
