Beat Darlington 4.1 yesterday at their new stadium before a crowd of 2346.Look nailed on to win the league and play us next season.looks like an exciting trip for us with the ground being half a mile from the station. Also they have Dom Collins and Marty Hughes in their ranks.

Won't be high on my list of must-do away games really. Just another bankrolled village team for us to contend with, being helped by the slow demise of Blackpool.

Crazy to think on a cold Tuesday night 7 years ago they were getting 80-150 now they've gone up to 2000+. A fast it rise up the Leagues and a tidy little stadium... I thought in 2010 when they had a target of Football League by 2020 was insane but its looking very much a possibility now.

Forget Fearing Fylde in the Conf North. It was a case of Fearing the beard for the manager who deemed him not good enough for Chester yesterday.

So much money in the conference North now that it would be a real struggle for anyone that drops into it. We need to recruit strong in the summer and make sure we're not in the mix at the wrong end next season. Salford have a £5 for away travel offer for the rest of the season now, to try and help their playoff push with them being so average on the road. Kiddy looking strong, Fylde, Stockport...so many decent sides.

Meanwhile, in the conference south - no-one cares. Just more teams with average gates of 200.

That's right, some of the attendances are shocking compared to the national North when some clubs' attendances are 10 times that.

I thought in 2010 when they had a target of Football League by 2020 was insane but its looking very much a possibility now. Significant numbers of them are in fact Blackpool fans who are in the midst of an organised and long-term boycott against the Oystons and who are using Fylde as a temporary football fix. If at some point the Oyston issue is resolved then it would likely signal some very difficult times for Fylde, which could be spectacularly worse if that solution involves Fylde owner David Haythornewaite finally realising his dream as a lifelong Tangerine of finally owning BFC after years of trying - then Fylde will be back playing as a pub team before you know it with a fall even faster than their rise.

I see the top scorer in the South, Dave Tarpey of Maidenhead, has got 41 goals so far! Next highest score in the league has 25.
And in the North, Rowe of Fylde has 42!

I've said in another thread that I hope Darlington don't come up. Yes they get a decent following, but they've caused trouble several times in the last couple of seasons away from home and we could do without that.
