Just stick with it the way it is at the moment I think Si. Everyone seems happy enough as it is, and the place has really taken off! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! That is the problem though, give it a couple of months and it will deffo need fixing. We have Tranmere soon, Birkenhead laa and the rest of the idiots will be on here, Got to agree with this. Registering isn't exactly onerous so wouldn't really prevent fans of other teams doing so to post before games. Reporting posts is fine but with only Big Si deleting them, it can soon become too big a job and take over too much of his time. Plus he needs to sleep / eat / have a social life.... |

Goat Guests are more than welcome to contribute but he was rambling on about Divvychat and clearly on a wind up so seemed sensible to nip in in the bud. |

Big Si I think you're overthinking the registration process. On the old Devachat (before you couldn't register whatsoever) you'd register then have to wait for an administrator to approve it, and by the time that happened as an away fan you probably couldn't be bothered anymore. Whereas on this forum the registration process hardly takes any time at all.
So whilst I agree that we want to encourage away fans to contribute and that's the thinking behind the guest posting, I think asking people to spend 2 minutes signing up is a worthwhile exercise in order to prevent WUMs having easy access to the board.
