Echo that and his 8/43 at Headingley against the Aussies was one of the all-time great bowling performances.

Attended a Sportsman’s Dinner a few years ago with Bob Willis as one of the speakers - he was hilarious with his dry manner; as has been said, he pulled no punches.

Well before my time as a player but he was always great to hear as a pundit. He’s been on the Debates fairly recently too, shocked to hear of his passing.
