I don't believe that for one second. Its fairly obvious that both parties have burnt their bridges. Rooney seems to be doing ok for the Goats, we are a better team without him.

Several Wrexham fans and they were being honest. He's 1 game (starting) away from activating an extension but he's going to stay benched apparently cause Keates doesn't want him

Isn't that a bit like..... moving to Curzon Park then, after a few months, deciding you want to go back to Blacon because you miss your mates?
Tell us another!

Personally, I didn't like him when he was here, so you can imagine the ill-feeling towards him now. We don't miss him though, do we?

Serious question, based on playing ability alone, forget the names and what they've done. Who would you rather have out of Rooney or Durrell?

Durrell any day of the week.

Durrell any day of the week. For me, if much rather we look at finding a solid left winger, I don't think either prefer that position. I like Durrells work rate.

Wonder whether he would be any good up front with Alabi instead of Richards

You can argue who’s better with Durrell and Rooney until the cows come home but I think the end result is the same with them at this level, they both chip in with a good few goals and assists. They’re vastly different players. Durrell is positive, he gets his head up and likes to drive forward, he can beat players whereas Rooney likes the play all in front of him so he can try and play through and he can put good crosses in from deep positions. They can both score some bloody conkers as well (Rooney v Wrexham, Macc, Gateshead) (Durrell v Dagenham, Boreham Wood, Solihull) so are as good as each other there.
I find Durrell far more tolerable though and find his style of play more exciting to watch than Rooney’s. Durrell slots in to the squad easier as well, I often thought Rooney caused us to look a bit unbalanced. There’s no doubt in my mind part of Tom Shaw’s improvement this season is down to simply not playing alongside him. Perhaps we can pin some blame on Burr there though on playing him somewhere he shouldn’t have.

I have to say no I would t want him back now Ross Hannah yes If anyone leaves with a bit of integrity then I'd welcome anyone back, providing they could do the job. Rooney is a no on both counts. Would love to see Ross back but we couldn't afford him

No. Rooney has well and truly burnt his bridges. Really liked him here and thought we were always a better team with him in the side but cant abide his snide move across the border.

I wouldn't want Hannah back. An ageing player who would cost us to much in wages. Did fantastic for us last season without a shadow of a doubt but would rather see us invest in a younger striker who could make us money further down the line. Not sure what length of contract Adam Morgan is on at Halifax but if it's up in the summer would like to see us offer him something for example.

As for Ross Hannah, at least he left in a professional manner. Plus he actually did a half decent job for us and put 100% in every time he pulled on a Chester shirt. It's just a shame his stay was brief, whereas The Goat overstayed his welcome.

Morgan is on at least an 18 month contract and it could be longer than that. Can't help but think we missed a trick not getting him when he was at Curzon. I think it's 7 goals in 7 games at Halifax and wouldn't be surprised if they cash in big time.

100% agree with the Adam Morgan comment.
We really should've gone in for him - No transfer fee just had to put 7 days on him
Halifax haven't missed a trick 18 month deal and if don't go up will cash in no doubt
