Given the fact that Ian Sharps is solely responsible for us staying up this season and that everything that has gone wrong since Christmas is solely down to his leaving the club i was just wondering if anyone had noticed anything else that has gone wrong since Sharps left?
I mean, i can't be sure, but i could have sworn there was more chicken in the Chester pie before Sharps left?
And, i might be being silly, i don't know, but does anyone else think that The Clock on the south stand was correct to the atomic degree before Sharps went?
Oh and i'm certain that had Sharps still been here that broken seat in Block H would have been fixed by now?

It's not even very accurate to say the poor form has coincided with Sharps leaving. He left on November 15th. Between then and Christmas we won 3-0 at Eastleigh and beat North Ferriby and a strong Aldershot side comfortably at home. The poor form didn't start until Boxing Day at Solihull.
I suspect that defensively, Sharps' departure has had a gradual affect, but it's simplistic and inaccurate to name Sharps as the only reason for the season of two halves.

we have certainly lost our sharpsness, we seem to have no cutting edge anymore, the players just don't get the punt ( I mean point) anymore, we just need to cut and run now, after all the back-stabbing from that rooney guy, all we need is a good slice of luck, good knife and sweet dreams

This is a theory I've been thinking of.
Sharps obviously was the brains behind all the defensive work, organisation and shape.
It feels like McCarthy is spending his time trying to replicate the work Sharps did, this has meant he's spending too much time trying to sort out the defence and it's organisation, therefore turning us into a defensive side trying to replicate the success.

And I suspect Sharps would have personally cleaned the bird poo off my seat!

To get to the ground from the city centre, you have to take a few sharp rights before sharp lefts.

The beer in the blues bar tasted better before Sharps left. Probably because we were picking up more points

Well mock this analysis as much as you want to me it's plainly obvious the loss of Sharpes is a massive one - his replacement (if available ) stands 10 yards away arms crossed offering no input - Sharpes was practically sitting on Mccarthys shoulder offering constant advice - but hey let's talk bollocks and broken seats and pies some of you guys aren't for real-

Come on Fred, it's just a bit of a giggle. If you can't laugh at times like this, what's the point?

I'll tell you at half time/full time! One shot on target in 98 mins doesnt sound enjoyable Long range Durrell shot brought a good save by Imps keeper Farman. Alabi had a shot cleared off the line. The atmosphere was electric. Also, could you tell me how many shots Lincoln had on target?
