Lincoln City V Chester FC MATCH THREAD

Full time 1-0 Lincoln, another frustrating night. Our tactics sounded stupid for the second half. Fair play though we played quite well to keep the score down. Can't wait for Forest Green on Friday although we might not win.

What do we have to lose? Safe aren't we? They are the ones that will be bricking it needing a big 3 points but we make it so easy for teams. One shot in that 20 minute period with an extra man.

Nothing wrong with sitting in and being organised away to the league leaders but when Lincoln are down to 10 men why aren't we throwing subs on straight away.

Macca waited 10 mins before making a double sub and when we do we still don't bring a striker on. The manager goes on about being positive but he's being the most negative of us all.

If certain fans are happy with the clueless fool managing the team and happy with paying hard earned money to come away from the game dejected and pissed off then more fool them, I'm not working like a dog all week and spending my hard earned cash and limited free time watching park football. The last 4 months Iv come away from the deva absolutely pissed off each game, not because of the result but because we are giving players a living who aren't fit to wear the shirt. Anyone takes a offence to me having enough I couldn't give a monkeys toss.

Superb effort from the boys. Can be proud of that display. Lincoln really had to fight for that.

So 1-0 doesn't sound bad against the leaders but let me tell you we again boring and almost playing for a 1-0 defeat.. when Lincoln scored no change no wake up just same aimless balls then when Lincoln down 2 10 men it took him 10 minutes to change anything.. Joyce I'm sorry you might be on peanuts but that's why monkeys like them your not a footballer in any way! Feel I shouldn't complain with it being 1-0 but Iv got a long drive home now all I wanted was a bit of fight a bit of disire got nothing just pissed off..

There is probably not a lot wrong with the vast majority of the squad, with some notable exceptions and a lot less than some of the idiots on here would have us believe
. The main problem is a chronic lack of firepower and creativity. We are not exactly getting turned over, even by the better teams.

Radio Lincolnshire praised our performance - why can't you lot praise it too? Was it 8-0 as you expected? No. We lost 1-0 and they had to fight for those 3 points. The boys did well.

He brought on a midfielder and a defender and left a striker on the bench, one clueless manager.

TBF Lincoln Radio said Chester made it very difficult, although we didn't create much going forward . I suspect it wasn't pretty to watch, but at least we went close for a point near the end. But you really have to question the attitude of Richards. Given the ref had given a straight red already, it was always likely he would try and even it up. That said the commentators said it was an entirely deserved red card. The lad is an utter liability.

Proud of another defeat? I'm never proud of us getting beat by another team in our league. A loss is a loss no matter how you much you roll it in glitter.

Not much wrong with this squad?? Are you for real how many of these players would get a game in conf north? Most of this squad are above there standard Lincoln were not good tonight but even with 10 men they were a miles better than us. Dmcnally you were there like me so I. Any understand you saying we were so good when you could of had a sleep watching us there goalkeeper bar last min save did nothing and I'd expect he doesn't even need a shower. Wake up people if this squad resign there will be one less season ticket next season I'd rather go shopping with her in doors!!

If Kane Richards ever puts a blue and white shirt on again it'll be an insult to us all. I'm sick of watching that now.

We're a world away from Lincoln, on and off the pitch. That was obvious tonight. Fully expected to lose here but the way we reacted to going a man up (albeit temporarily) disappointed me. I hoped that we'd show a bit more intent and for Macca to make a quick attacking change - it never came.

Durrell probably had the best chance late on, they had the complete measure of us the rest of the time. Lynch in fairness didn't have a great deal to do either, we handled Rhead tonight much better than we did at home. Going forward though we just kept running in to dead ends and laying off poor passes at critical moments. Richards is a real handicap, he's no loss whatsoever.

In all we battled hard and tried our best to compete with the champions elect, there was just a chronic lack of ability and direction.

Incredible how many people who don't go think they know better than fans actually there.
