Tonight, twitter is awash with talk of Wxm's Frontline firm fighting 'fascists' in Manchester, despite it those 'fascists' being Bolton Wanderer's firm, which they pre arranged a fight with. To make things worse, the actual football club has now actively promoted its links to Celtic and Bohemians, and supported this football hooliganism, as if it has claimed some sort of moral victory from this thuggery. Needless to say to support an association with the IRA; a terrorist organisation which collaborated with Nazi Germany in the genocide of the Jews, Blacks and those with disabilities of any race, is a absolute disgrace.
Thank goodness we don't have a club like that!

They need to get their own house in order when it comes to racism, you get a few idiots but it’s always been a regular occurrence at the racecourse.

Their official twitter is shocking tonight - trying to cash in on a group of ‘fans’ they told had no place at the club in a statement earlier this year, they even upped their own security at games against this group!
‘Community’ club out the window in one evening.

I find it strange that people from a Tory stronghold would claim to be smashing the fascists. Doesn’t make sense.

An official, verified club account glorifying violence from their own supporters and being linked to the IRA and not doing anything to dispel the rumours. Oh my god!

Good to see proper Wrexham fans condemning their club’s behaviour and calling for their media team’s immediate sacking. Not happy on redpassion.

Good to see proper Wrexham fans condemning their club’s behaviour and calling for their media team’s immediate sacking. Not happy on redpassion. The vast majority of Wrexham fans will condemn the behaviour of those idiots.

Gets even worse; Wrexham fans on redpassion now suggesting it was nothing political, instead a pre-arranged meet up with Bolton. There’ll be a fallout over this.

Now now Frank I know this thread is only loosley football related but lets keep political agendas on the off topic page It's kind of a fair point though. They've gone over there claiming to be representing the left and anti-fascism, yet their town has voted in (according to the impartial Political Compass) one of the most right-wing and authoritarian governments we've ever had.

Nothing but embarrassing what’s happened.
The club tweet has now been removed but someone should be held accountable for this. I hate the stupid Celtic link that apparently exists.
And as for any IRA links! The club could do well to remember that Wrexham is the home of the Royal Welsh and many men from the town and surrounding area fought against the IRA.
A disgrace that this has happened.

Wrexham AFC condoning this and backing their 'firm' have now created major problems for themselves and the ordinary supporter. ... and more importantly sponsors! During a football business operating lockdown too.

A disgrace that this has happened. To be honest, this whole idea of "brotherhoods" among football fans is largely bollocks. Usually you just have a noisy minority of a club's support who attach themselves to a certain ideology, and that leads to whole clubs being called pro-IRA, fascist or whatever. You can see from this forum there is certainly no political consensus among Chester fans. We like to think our clubs are righteous and our rivals are weird and stupid, but in truth all football clubs' supporters are a motley crew and, as with any cross-society, a lot of them will be sound while others will be objectionable morons.

Spot on post.
Having spent 3 years in NI during my time in the military - I have no wish to be associated with Celtic or Bohemians for that matter anything of a sectarian nature.
Our club is an embarrassment on a number of levels at the moment - happy to admit that.
Thanks for the comments on here from Chester supporters who realise it is a minority and for those talking about 'Wrexham thugs' - I suppose you are lucky not having any

What’s the IRA got to do with wrexham thugs fighting, though I must point out I’m not condoning it. How did the conversation make that giant leap?
