Some of the comments on here are entirely unnecessary. You can disagree about how taxes are spent without attacking those who disagree with you. To be clear, I have no doubt that Rashford & indeed the majority of the commenters who disagree with me, have nothing but the best interests of the nation’s children at heart. For others it’s just political. Anyway this is the football part of the forum so I’ll leave it there. Indeed, it’s entirely unnecessary to use hungry children as inevitable and unavoidable collateral damage to promote a twisted political ideology.

I can't stress how beneficial it is to your Deva Chat experience to just mute/block RCB, granted sometimes I see the absolute poisonous drivel he spouts when people quote him, but for the most part I don't have to see what he posts. It's long been my opinion that he's not looking for a debate, he's not looking for your opinions he looking for attention and to spout his vile thoughts.

The mods banned whopper for doing the exact same, but nothing is done about rcb. Does he have nudes of Si or something? 🤣

Sometimes he can post constructively, but threads like this show him up a bit and makes me wonder. Whopper3 was just a relentless troll spouting the same thing over and over, whereas RCB seems to have a superiority issue which I wouldn't say is a banning issue, but it is annoying. As someone else has mentioned, probably best just to add him to your mute list. I'm rather hoping he hasn't got any nudes

We could avoid having to read some of these embarrassing posts at all, if this was moved to the 'off topic' area, where it belongs.
Well done Marcus Rashford. It shows, whether you agree with his view or not, that some Premier League footballers do care about people other than themselves.

Top top man Marcus. It just goes to show how much can be achieved by a timely, direct but respectful campaign which offended very few and bad mouthed nobody. Total respect young man.

Personally I don't think people should have kids unless they can accurately predict exactly how their relationship and employment prospects will fare over the next two decades and then map out the upcoming socio-economic impacts of political events and decisions (both global and domestic).

What a truly disgusting piece of work you are. You know nothing, Daily Mail fed, broad brush I'm Alright Jack toad with your "excellence in Grammar" certificate nailed to your fridge. I used to think you were a wind up. Now I know you are some kind of heartless, finger pointing gammon who has never had to struggle a day in his pitiful, loveless, joyless existence. I hope one day the boot may be on the other foot, and you have to ask for assistance. That you, like these children, are in a position where you need help. Same bloke who revels in his club struggling. Mans a doughnut. Should I delete this as being insulting to doughnuts?

What if parents can't afford to feed their kids? If they could never afford to feed them then they shouldn’t have them in the first place, if it’s as a result of losing their job for example then isn’t that exactly what child benefit & universal credit are for? Wow, Just wow.

Let’s hope he or his partner are never made redundant or suffer a life-changing disability or illness they should’ve planned for years ago when they decided to have kids... I find it quite incredible that given the poster is obviously ex military they find themselves writing things like that. Hundreds if not thousands of marriages have broken down in recent years when one or both parents are military or ex military with a whole different range of reasons. From fighting in war torn countries and witnessing horrific acts of war and injuries and the consequences of PTSD to just the more simple fact that being apart for so long has torn families apart. The poster of all people should realise that children from families like these and others who have their own reasons for struggling financially to feed children do not ask for their parents to be put into these situations and the vast majority of parents do not want to be either.

First of all whilst I apologise for using bad language which has been correctly removed by a mod, I stand by my opinion of the poster in question. An opinion I would happily tell him to his face.
Children are starving in the United Kingdom in 2020. It took a footballer to make sure they get reliable one meal a day. And people on here choose to politicise it. My work takes me to a lot of social housing estates and households. This glorified opinion of "council estate leeches" is not true for 95% of people in poverty.
Very disappointed with the opinion of Stortfordblue, always had him down as a sensible poster. To choose this thread over anything to fire cheap shots at these families, knowing very well that Help For Heroes offers family support for PTSD sufferers as well as those who cannot cope with coming out of the forces and are struggling with this change in circumstances.
Breaks me that some people in our communities hold such ridiculously outdated and just incorrect opinions of people they have never met.
Anyway, well done Marcus Rashford. You are a credit to yourself, your family and your country.
