Women at the game ~ tea and cakes before the Woking game

Hope this is a success but I think the short notice will be a factor. However, these are the type of initiatives our club should be supporting. The Think Pink days were particularly successful in our early days.

The girl who initiated the whole idea is called Jacqui Forster who was of great help to the Chester City Supporters Trust in planning for the then possible demise of SV and the creation of CFU.
Jacqui works(worked) for Supporters Direct and I met her a number of times between 2007 and 2009 whilst I was on the Trust Board.
Jacqui has terminal cancer and, even now, is working to move the fans movement, in all its guises, forward.
To Jacqui, this initiative is just another way to try and increase the fanbase of all football clubs - not just Chester FC so let's just try and understand that point without the sex equality issue - it's really not relevant in this instance.
This is a case of a girl, passionate about our sport, trying to do something good for football clubs such as ours - what on earth can anyone take exception to?

Anything that brings more people through the gate is good by me, and to make ours an inclusive club. Good initiative, bring your ladies down to the game tomorrow lads.
