Amazon sent me a notification today saying:
This is your quarterly AmazonSmile donation notification. Your chosen charity, Chester Fc Community Trust Limited, recently received a quarterly donation of £26.77 from AmazonSmile, thanks to customers shopping at smile.amazon.co.uk.
I know this has been publicised before, but if you shop with Amazon anyway, (not suggesting you do so if you don't already) just change your log in to be via the charity donation route and a small donation goes to the club. You only have to do it once, not each time, so once you've done it there's nothing to remember. I imagine probably 10x the number of current Blues fans could do it, and so if we generated £2-3k pa for the club that would be worth having, rather than just a couple of hundred quid.

Thanks for flagging this up. Wouldn’t take much to generate a useful sum! Any excuse to go shopping too! Will promote to Chester Exiles in our next news update!

Been doing this for ages, shame it doesn't get more publicity. Perhaps when fans are allowed into games again it could be included in the programme?

Have just set this up thanks for the link. All you need to do is: - Click through the link above - Click agree - Whenever you go to shop on amazon in future just go to smile.amazon.co.uk rather than amazon.co.uk (is the exact same site but need to use the first link for the club to get the funds - easy!)

Great - it is so easy, costs you nothing and whilst it is only pennies individually if we could get more doing it it would be a really good source of income. I have been doing it for ages - it is completely automatic, just normal amazon shopping but they chip in a donation.

0.5% of most purchases go straight to the trust, but you have to access Amazon via the smile.amazon page. It's worth it to help the club though 🙂

Bump - just got notified that Amazon have donated £175 to the community trust through this. Small steps but if more can opt to do it, it all mounts up (and it costs you nothing in cash or time - just register for Smile and choose Chester FC Community Trust!)

I've set mine up now. This could be a significant income stream if 100s of us signed up. Maybe it would be worthy of a marketing push? £171.55 was generated in August.

We need to be careful that it doesn’t go all fiddlesticks and chips on us though.

We need to be careful that it doesn’t go all fiddlesticks and chips on us though. Don't understand mate? There have been reports, don’t know if true or not, that if the charities get more people signing up, that Amazon do more vetting of them and if they don’t agree or like them, stop the funding.

This is out of date. They have just updated the App so you don't need to navigate to smile.amazon for every purchase - you just opt in once every 3 months and make purchases through the app as normal.

If you are shopping for Amazon Prime Day deals, don’t forget you can raise free funds for the Community Trust at no extra cost to you! Shop at smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1174370-0 or with AmazonSmile ON in the Amazon Shopping app, and AmazonSmile donates to Chester FC Community Trust.

The moral dilemma of either not helping the club with this method of buying gifts versus contributing to and supporting the abhorrent practices of Amazon.
Sometimes it isn’t as simple as just helping the club unfortunately!

Sometimes it isn’t as simple as just helping the club unfortunately! It was the only way of getting stuff while we were all locked down so might as well give some free money back to the club.

Just bumping this really, Just bought something from Amazon and the notice at the top cheered me up after a long and fruitless round trip on Saturday. Was equally cheered by a short visit up to KGV - it really is going to be brilliant!
