Are you kidding me? How would you describe it? I'd say it's a pretty accurate description of someone who thinks it's OK to abuse teenagers on a football forum. No I'm not, you could call them infantile, drunk, or whatever you feel like but retarded is a horrible word to use Those words don't work on these neanderthals. Stop getting hung up on a word and read the whole message for Christ sake, this is what's wrong with people on this forum. Making mountains out of molehills over single words in a post that contains a real message. You carry on finding faults with my word choice anyway, if it makes you feel good. |

Your identity is hidden even if you are registered. I personally have no problem with it. The old deva chat was like communist Russia, I wouldn't want this place to go the same way. This forum was needed, and well done to big Si for making it happen, but its turned out to be a winge-fest full of trolls and WUMs hence I rarely post or read it anymore. Old DC is full of old boys pretending the ships not sinking, and this one is heading in a direction I'm not keen on going - so it looks like neither are viable options. Sad. This one will get better I think, it's still in its early stages. I think what it does show is that you can't really win as a forum moderator. That said, the moderation on the other forum continues to be well over the top. I've now been banned from posting on there. Not sure what I've done after 14 years and more than 20,000 posts on there that's suddenly deemed unacceptable, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Don't worry about it. I can't post on there either. Looks like you get banned if you dare to join another forum. |

Delete anything at all and it's 'the Gestapo' and '1984', let anything go and it's 'where are the mods?' (even if it's 2am on a Tuesday night) and 'this is a free-for-all'. Just don't go as far as the other site (where I've seemingly been banned for responding to a question about why this forum was necessary by politely pointing out a few weaknesses with the old one) and sweep up what you need to, and most people will be happy. |

Also I would like to add that abusing the next generation of fans on here is absolutely retarded. Anyone doing so from a guest or registered account needs to have a long look at themselves.
