There still seems some doubters about whether we would get money for Alabi. The link below should explain all and gives some examples of tribunals. As a twenty goal striker (hopefully at least) I think its likely to be useful money - though I think it would benefit Alabi and the club if he remained here for another year, given the progress made this year. fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2016/11/compensation-players-24-mystery/

You are right. An over reaction on my part, for which I apologise.

If your the happy clapper Richard from Deva chat where you shout down people's opinions please stay on Deva chat. Making a new forum that's for 'everyone' then calling someone a happy clapper from DC and telling them to go back, let's think before we type. The attitude of the response to the original poster, i agree it's wrong, but so are petty arguments fella's. Don't paint yourself with the same tar brush. Happy flapper indeed. Seriously, I reacted too what I thought was a wind up merchant. On reflection,I was wrong. Sorry.

The response to you (which you've quoted) was just as unfair, really.
Alabi does divide opinion - he was very frustrating last season and I still reckon Kane is a better target man but of course that's not Alabi's game. The lad has been immense this season and really engages with the ethos of the club off the field.

I'm not fully convinced about Alabi yet although he does show signs of promise. For a big man he should be better in the air, and sometimes looks ineffectual (could be to do with poor service this though). Can't fault his overall effort though, he's a good honest lad and PutS it in without preening around. (unlike someone else). He's on a good run of form right now and definitely the best option we have got. I wouldn't have flogged him to Barnet at this point.

I think Alabi gets a hard time regarding winning balls in the air. It's not his game, he's 6ft1, the majority of centre halves he's up against tower him.
He's more effective when the ball is played on the ground and he can outrun or outmuscle defenders.

Sorry to break the bad news to you all but we cannot class him as a youngster we have raised so we have very little chance of being able to go to a tribunal. So no money if he goes, sadly. That's not how it works. It will go to a tribunal and we will get a fee, we will get less than Hughes because he's not an an academy product but that is only one of the factors taken in to consideration. Yes it is. I've heard it from Dave Powell on Twitter are you telling me he's lying?

I've heard it from Dave Powell on Twitter are you telling me he's lying? Dave Powell says "We may have some claim but it won't be much" Pretty much what's been said on here. You could argue that we've developed the player more than any of his previous clubs, but I think we'd still be looking at peanuts.

Dave said the club turned down a significant bid for Sam and a derisory one for James

Richard, your comments are irrelevant after reading your sycophantic Tweet to Burr on Twitter. Embarrassing comments from you indeed and should come with a health warning as it induces vomiting!

don't know what this hype is about alabi i personally think he's lazy and overrated if he was that good he'd of forced a move to barnet and we could of got someone in better plus a bit of money And so it begins. Don't bother coming back guest You would have been great as a moderator on the old site!
