To “speculate” is to form a theory about a subject without firm evidence, yet there is plenty of photographic and video evidence just from watching the game.
I will, though, contact the club directly about this as you suggest. It’s just the Banksy/Cleggy tweets above about the behaviour of Curzon’s officials was a good opportunity to air my concerns about random fans being allowed into games.

Must be from the stadium facilities. Knowles and Stephenson wouldn’t come cheap. Both won this league previously too. and Turnbull, he captained Stockport to the title too that season after leaving us. ah yes dodgy knees Turnbull I thought great when we signed him turned out to be another crock who the club gave a massive wage to

Yeah I was thinking this. That darts player who works for Curzon now was at the Marine game. Someone on Twitter who has a big blow-up Seal seems to be there every game too, taking pictures of various cardboard cutouts and tweeting them. Did a bit of painting at the ground in the off-season and is allowed in. It’s all very “jobs for the boys”.

And yes I do post pictures of a seal ( some think it's a dolphin) and I take pictures of cut outs to highlight the job people are doing to help the club out. Once I do that I than carry out my job pre, during and post match that I am there to do officially. I think I got home at 2230 on tuesday night. I'm sorry I have caused you offence and but I'm sure you would understand that to put a game of football on you still require people working behind the scenes to do this. We even had 3 police there on saturday. Stewards are there for many reasons. But if you watch before at HT and full times the player are using the fire exits and not the tunnel to access the changing rooms so they need to be manned etc.

Bloody hell even after a fine win we somehow find a way of knocking the club Nathan absolutely loves knocking his own club. It’s almost daily at this point. Claiming we’d pushed for elite status when we had nothing to do with it was laughable yesterday. Now there’s concerns about away directors not following COVID guidelines and he’s replied with complaints about our own volunteers instead!

I never mentioned the club pushing for elite status at all, I merely said the teams in all the National Leagues wanted elite status in order to complete the season and now they’re seeing the effects of that decision in not being able to host crowds, stop sensationalising. I was airing concerns that it APPEARED like anyone who fancied their chances this season seems to be able to get in and watch us. Behind closed doors because of a pandemic should mean as few people as possible. What jobs need doing considering there shouldn’t be any fans there? Does the SAG really, genuinely, want us to have three stewards for every quarter of a person? Why do they want this? Have these questions been asked? Are we paying the stewards to stand around and make sure cardboard cutouts don’t blow away? Why are former, not current serving board members attending? Are they helping out with the jobs that need doing? I have a volunteer lanyard - is it worth me attending the next home game with it and asking if there’s anything that needs doing? I’m quite willing to.

FWIW, I’ve praised the club repeatedly throughout the pandemic for fundraising ideas, communication, the streaming service, the kits/retail etc.
I’ve also personally emailed various club staff with that above praise.
Of course you decide to forget all that and claim I love knocking the club. Nothing could be further from the truth Danny.

But rather then say on here actually ask the club. You never know they may need help. But then how would you feel about attending a game if not everyone else is allowed in? Hardly a good socialist ideal thinking of your self before the greater good.

It was thinking of the greater good that prompted my initial post to be honest, at how unfair it seemed that there seemed to be quite a lot of supporters in considering “behind closed doors.”
Fair play if you’re volunteering your time on matchday, but it sort of rubs it in a bit with other fans when you’re tweeting how much fun you’re having at the game.
Disappointed the SAG are forcing us to have so many stewards considering there shouldn’t be any spectators, the club should be sending SAG the invoice for that!
In hindsight I should’ve started a new thread about my concerns, it was just the opportunity to air them came from that tweet from Banksy/Cleggy talking about the behaviour of Curzon staff.

There's more important things in life to be fretting over than the identities and reasons behind a handful of people entering a 5500 capacity stadium to be honest. Move along, nothing to see here. Thanks to those who are giving up their time to assist with the covid guidance and allowing us to play these games.

Watching the highlights back a few times made me realise how well we played and the move for the second goal starting from the keeper was out of this world, that goal would be replayed over and over had it happened in the Premier league.

Yes, the buildup play was classy and the final strike perfect to finish the move off. We played some great stuff on Tuesday night - just need to be a bit more clinical in the final third.

Yes, some excellent passing and build up play. Waring didn't really do anything wrong with the one that was cleared off the line...thought it was a bad miss when I watched live. Here's a question...would anyone swap Knowles for Elliot? No agenda, just asking. Two good finishes, although the Elliot goal was a result of him initially mis-controlling the ball. Knowles didn't get a sniff otherwise but that was a classy goal. Looking at his stats I'm a bit surprised he's not at a bigger club. A goal every two and a half games for Harrogate and Boston over the past few seasons.

I read the emailed matchday programme last night and also came to the conclusion that Knowles, with his record, should be playing at a higher level than Curzon Ashton.

Evening all.
Okay, just to put a few things to bed on the earlier post from Nathan...
Home and away Directors of the club are permitted to attend the game, socially distanced of course and I'm sure Kieron can vouch for that fact as I had to ask him about 7 times what he had said to me as he was a few seats away from me and had a mask on and couldn't understand a word he was saying until about the 8th time of him saying it!
There are certainly guilty feelings as far as I'm concerned about attending the actual games when others cannot, although most will know I'm the vocal type who want to support the team, and that's what I've been doing on behalf of others. The visiting directors were a step too far so it was nice to put them in their place when George popped up with the winner.
The other people that were there the other night were people that are needed behind the scenes if anything was to go wrong, electrics, safety, and of course despite himself actually wondering what the hell he's doing there, Cleggy is actually doing his usual job, and you know what I feel sorry for him as its a soulless stadium without fans inside and even though some may knock him, we do rely on him.
Stewards have to be there based on our safety certificate, and yes it seems crazy to have them there at all, but that's what we have to abide by, and we continue to do so until the certificate says otherwise.
With regards to the 'darts' playing Chester fan, I believe he was assigned there in an official capacity with Curzon Ashton (I don't have any problem with that, but still nice to get our win over you matey on Tuesday night!). Other clubs can continue to send requests in to Chester FC which I do take issue at given our own fans aren't allowed in so why should scouts effectively be allowed in?
I can assure you there are no other people inside the ground other than directors, medical people, media, assessors, and of course squad players and officials from both clubs as well as those who are deemed as emergency related staff to ensure games are played.
I always wanted to be able to run with a golden ticket to attend our games for one fan and sadly we're unable to do so, but we'll continue to try and lobby for our fans to return sooner rather than later at home games.
Looks like I've gone war and peace again on a simple subject, so sorry for that but thought I'd give some clarity.
Now let's get that win at Gloucester on Saturday hey?!
Jeff

Apologies for how I came across earlier and thanks for the explanation - it’s just so frustrating having to watch from home when it seems like Joe Bloggs is getting in every week (of course I don’t refer to directors when I say that but what appear to be normal fans like the guy who replied to my post above flaunting his presence all over Twitter, and having seen photos of ex-board members, NOT current board members, sat in the stands, when the rest of us aren’t allowed in) and it pissed me off. How do supporters get to volunteer for these essential matchday roles? I’m on the volunteer database but didn’t receive an email request, for example. Things like that make it SEEM to an outsider looking in that it’s a “jobs for the boys” approach.
As for the steward situation that’s a joke - three guys having to man an area full of cardboard cutouts. Seems like it has to be the case though, hope it isn’t costing us too much. Meanwhile, club scouts shouldn’t be allowed whatsoever - driving up and down the country potentially spreading the virus. There’s videos online of most matches at this level now anyway and Beeton, as a supporter of our club, could’ve paid for a stream.
Watching online only makes me miss it even more, I’m sure everyone else in the same situation feels the same way. It’s rubbish.

Interesting. I’d also like to find out who all the spectators that seem to be able to get into our home games are, and do we really need the amount of stewards to control what should be a crowd of 0? Former (not current) board members photographed in the stands, mates of current club staff also noted to have attended games, three stewards all stood shoulder-to-shoulder chatting to each other at the front of one of the spectator tunnels by the cardboard cutouts... it’s a bit galling when the rest of us aren’t allowed in. Yeah I was thinking this. That darts player who works for Curzon now was at the Marine game. Wouldn’t mind but he’s turned his back on us too and reverted to slagging off our team all to suit his work experience at curzon ashton

If by flaunting my presence all over twitter you mean a few posts you really do need to grow up and get a life. FYI I have just had a phone call asking to help Jimmy Soul tomorrow. Its now friday afternoon and so at 9am tomorrow morning I will be away all day again probably not getting home until 9pm. However given your disgust of my behaviour at recent games maybe I should withdraw my help so you can go instead. Or if you cant help I will go and watch the game from my laptop in the car park instead so not to offend anyone by my outrageous behaviour recently.
