Perhaps we need to leave it late in the hope we forget how crap we've been this year :-)

They should have done something in December of last year, when the club was doing well and everyone believed in McCarthy - would have shifted a few then. Going to have to work really hard now to make a season ticket look an attractive package.

We need to know for certain which division we will be in before promoting season tickets

11 or 12 free games wouldn't make it an attractive deal, but it would give you free home games for the last half of the season when we hit our predictable mid season slump.
Correct that and you will sell season tickets, carry on and the club is doomed

Er, so they can be priced accordingly Hang on, Shrewsbury have still got a very realistic chance of going down, if they have also sold 2500 season tickets already it begs the question when did they go on sale.
They are not the only club who have started early, I have seen adverts for Sutton, Woking and one or two others.
Mark McGuire said details would be released soon when we have the live Q&A with him and Alan, I am guessing that was about Feb time and we still haven't had anything.

Everton introduced a 12 month option at the start of the year and have had a 93% take up on season ticket renewals already

The price that Woking and Sutton are asking for adult earlybird season tickets are £99 and £125 respectively. These are good value even if they are relegated. We cannot offer those prices and, I believe, we are right to wait and see where we stand before promoting our tickets. However ask the question tonight and see what answer you get from the board.

Er, so they can be priced accordingly So why is every other club in the country who are selling now saying price is regardless of what league they are in next year then?

Because the offer will be different if it is a lower division Sure about that are you...... of course I am not sure but it is reasonable to expect it to be less costly in a lower division. Perhaps I should have written "might be different". In any case I think the board is correct in delaying the promotion of season tickets until the position is certain.

I think they would have to drop prices or a hell of a lot of people would stay away.

Most clubs are selling season tickets for next season, we should be knocking them out for £149 like Bradford, because no bugger is guna pay full whack for one the season we've had, knock them out cheap enough and people will buy them

It would not be viable. We appear to expect a decent team for nothing. I am sure there are a few on here who were happier when SV was funding the club and they did not pay to get in. Well now it is down to us so we would be better offer raising money for the playing budget like Macclesfield, Tranmere, Aldershot, Lincoln and Wrexham do. We would rather moan and expect somebody else to stump up the money or expect a CEO to do something great with the inadequate ground that the asset strippers landed us with. Sutton make money from their 3g and such an idea is derided on here.
We will get what most of us deserve whatever manager we have as we do not want to do positive things only moan the someone else should do it for us.

Are you suggesting we change to having a 3G pitch instead of grass?! Couldn't care less how much it would make that means we obviously have no ambition to get back in the football league as you can't get promoted with an artificial pitch. Who seriously would want to watch football on an artificial pitch over grass? Also who's funding the cost of this? Our super CEO will probably think it's a great idea as he doesn't care about our club he's just interested in making money and making himself look good ABSOLUTLEY NO TO A 3G PITCH!!!!!

How many times does it need to be stated the Deva is not changing at all. It's a training pitch for the 167686545431th time. "He's just interested in making money", um isn't that the whole point of his job? Grants will fund the training pitch. Oh and also, more about Mark M than the 3g pitch, I found this information deep into old Devachat: "Mark was able to tell us that the Circus brought in some income into the club, and was delighted with first car boot sale last Sunday. He also said he had been in positive talks with a sponsor for the football club for next season." so he's obviously working hard and hopefully we see some announcements; we've already seen one tonight with the introduction of a Youth Scholarship scheme.

I'd rather not change the pitch to 3G regardless of what income it brought in. Oh sorry that's not his intention..... As you know for a fact apparently? What Grants? Another certainty according to you? Let's all believe Super Mark and his statements and promises

Probably all be applauding him when he announces the idea of changing the pitch to 3G. Oh sorry I'm wrong on that.... We're having our own 3G facility.... Let's see if Super Mark delivers on that! Actions speak louder than words and Mr Maguire is a fraud taking us for a ride

Lets see what transpires with the regular updates to members now from Mark Maguire.
It is certainly a big summer for him, with time to deliver commercial results approaching on the horizon.
The person I would like to see a productivity assesment done on is Tony Allen. The football secretary role he plays was previously carried out by a volunteer, so his cost should be benefitting our outlay in other areas. I would like to know what these areas are? If Mark Maguire did all of the work with the FA appeals, it makes me wonder how Mr Allen fills his 39 hours.
