Pretty robust statement from TRFC in regard to The Sun today. Good for them. Should we do the same? Not quite Merseyside but certainly we have fans from areas that are. Personally, would love to see s solid standpoint from CFC telling The Sun where to go. Regardless of the close proximity to Merseyside, it would be great if more clubs generally would do this

When I went in November I got bombarded with leaflets to say don't buy the S*n, rightly so!

Yes, I think we should. You don't need to be from Liverpool to be appalled by the Sun. If you're taking a hard-nosed business stance, it's also positive publicity for Tranmere.

Absolutely. The Sun is a rag for the illiterate. I can't believe there are actually people who buy it.

Are we banning Sky Sports too? Bit of a loose connection don't you think? Admittedly I would never buy Sky for that very reason (amongst others) but at the end of the day it was the Scum that lied about the Hillsbrough disaster not Sky or TalkSport, and it was The Scum that signed off Kelvin Mackenzie's disgusting article recently not Sky or TalkSport. We should definitely follow suit and ban that despicable rag.

Excellent stance.
This is particularly pleasing to know that if (by some miracle) we have a good cup run next season that the scum don't be allowed anywhere near us!

The sun are never going to bother with us anyway, they don't cover the conference Yes, barring a cup run, they won't get anywhere near us. That said, it's great that clubs outside of Liverpool are taking the side of common decency and taking a stance.

The sun are never going to bother with us anyway, they don't cover the conference They would if there was a decent story or scandal to be had. Chester's opponents tomorrow (Sutton United) are a perfect example of that... Wonderful statement, by the way.

Chester's opponents tomorrow (Sutton United) are a perfect example of that... Wonderful statement, by the way. It's good publicity if nothing else. Share it on Facebook/Twitter and I bet you'll get a few likes off your Liverpool and Everton supporting mates. More importantly though, it's what the club should be about. We're fan-owned and community-focused, and the Sun has spread enough crap about fans and communities, especially in the North West.

Made up with this, let's not forget Henry Rogers was also a Chester fan as well as Liverpool, I used to stand behind the goal with him at Sealand Road. Fantastic stance by the club which has gone down very well on Twitter.
