Think I saw him in rush hour traffic on the M6 today ironically.

loved watching simmo as a player never scared to run at the defence and most of the teams we had in the first 3 seasons went through brick walls to win us points or save us which was seen at radcliffe away when wilson scored a last gasp equaliser

Began the season with Ashton Athletic in the North West Counties League. Not sure he's still with them.

Loved watching him play, wonderful attitude, technically had his shortcomings but as was mentioned previously always ran at defences and never hid. Plus he had a good name to chant, Simmo Simmo Simmo :-)

Ironically he scored a hat-trick 5 years ago today.

Fantastic player at that level. What he lacked for in ability, he made up for in effort and his partnership with Wilde was in the same league as the Clare and Stamp partnership of our championship year.

Loved Simmo! He was great at that level.Used to be a joy watching Robbie Booth dink ball's for him to run onto. Wasnt that hatrick the perfect one?Left foot, right foot and a header against Marine?
