This afternoon was summed up to me when I get an email notification just as the third goal goes in from our esteemed CEO. Whilst things are yet again going pear shaped, he's defending our hard working manager and trying to flog me a ticket to the end of season awards. The level of delusion associated with the club hit new heights at that point.

This afternoon was summed up to me when I get an email notification just as the third goal goes in from our esteemed CEO. Whilst things are yet again going pear shaped, he's defending our hard working manager and trying to flog me a ticket to the end of season awards. The level of delusion associated with the club hit new heights at that point. Wonder what distribution list they are using....i am a paid up CFU member and didn't get it. Did you reply to him?! |

I have no idea - it's entitled Chester FC announcement. There was much I wished to send in reply, but when you read the email, it would be sure to fall on deaf ears. He's a fully paid up member of the JM fan club!

Although I didn't get an email from Mr McGuire this afternoon addressed to me , my 8 year old did ! And no, he's not allowed out to go to the Awards Dinner !

The email offer was to be initially directed at season ticket holders, lapsed season ticket home holders and anyone who has bought from the club and is on the database. Not initially aimed at CFU membership if I understood the briefing correctly on Thusday night.

He needs to go ASAP and take Iwelumo and his shit players with him ! This guy has dragged the club to its knees this season and we have lost many fans.
I didn't want him in first place and remember telling a director not to appoint him after win at Grimsby last year, he was part of problem last season.
Our board have to sack him tonight or I fear for the future of our club, if he is kept on he will offer these players contracts and we will be stuck with them !
I can see us in bottom 4 next season with crowds of 1200 and losing money hand over fist, no other club in the land would retain the manager after the run we have had and this plonker is making it worse by defending it and saying we should be thankful for whats been achieved !!!
He also says players aren't letting him down? Well they are letting us fans down, most of them don't deserve to wear our shirt and should hang their heads in shame !!! |

As it is OUR club, could not the CFU members demand an EGM with the Board to voice our discontent. Board members must read this forum or at least be aware of the fans views so surely as our elected representatives, they must take some action. If they support McCarthy, issue a statement to that effect so that fans are aware before deciding whether to buy a season ticket. |

My thoughts exactly I am not sure McCarthy is totally to blame for the current situation Sharps must have been on some sort of contract why was he allowed to leave ? Why at the start of the season did the pitch appear to be in such a poor condition ? My only conclusion is that McGuire is running the club on a shoestring and the performances on the pitch are a direct result of this Unless changes are made in the close season {sack McGuire] and possibly McCarthy or a least get a full time assistant manager in who can attend all matches, then I fear that next season we will be rooted to the foot of the table with the prospect we will emulate Altrincham and leave the conference north after 1 season in the wrong direction

After 25 years I won't be returning until this clown and his assistant leaves. This doesn't feel like my club. Those representing us don't represent me and don't represent many others either. They seem to represent themselves and their own interests. If they represented the fans, a very different course of action would be currently underway. It seems as long as some people have a club to watch theyre happy. I'd like to think we would have aspirations beyond merely that. I've only felt this twice before:during the Smith days and the end of the Vaughan era. That's how bad it is for me. The club is being killed from within.

There both killing our club so the right thing and go, if you don't go call an EGM by the CFU and force both of them out, our club is rotten from top to bottom as it currently is. No way would any other manager in non league last this long

Spot on pal I have been supporting the blues for over 40 years, and I cant remember a time when things felt this bad I remember when Pejic was manager and we went out of the league cup to I think Lincoln who at the time were a division below us Demonstrations were held outside the club office directly after the game with fans calling for the managers head and the chairman Wilkes to be sacked Today nobody seemed that bothered that we had lost our ninth or tenth home game on the run and just seemed to accept it as just one of those things Cerainly the board and directors don't seem to be concerned, as long as we have stayed up God knows how bad things have got to get before anyone takes decisive action, I think next season we may find out
