How does he come back from this? How do we sell the club to fans and sponsors, based on this? These are the questions those parading around in suits, looking important, need to be asking themselves. I was disgusted to see him turning around mocking fans at the end.

Also, did you see chris iwelomu making a point staying out on the pitch, but practically eyeballing the crowd although always making sure he was very close to or among players/staff. What a guy .

It's just disgusting. What did any of them expect? I can only think of a handful of times in 25 years I've felt the way I have watching them today. The attitude, both on and off the pitch was awful. There was just a resignation about everything.

13 points from the last 60 on offer. In the form table, over the last 30 games we are safely bottom! How on earth has he not been sacked, Iv said this before, any other club in the country would have sacked their manager after a run like we've had, as it has been amplified by the fact that we were in such a good position going into Christmas.

Don't worry, everyone, we've stayed up. That's what he will say in his interview.

McCarthy has spoiled my Saturday afternoon watching my little football team in action, with my friends, his brand of football is absolute garbage. He continually plays players out of position and constantly chops and changes the formation. it is obvious he can not motivate the players and seems tactically inept. McCarthy's post match interviews are appalling and give me very little hope for the future. I think that he has started to bluff his way through and is to blame for a large proportion of the ineptitude surrounding our great little club at the moment.I have no confidence in his ability to recruit decent players, and it shows his lack of drive when he has stated that most of this existing underachieving squad will be offered contracts for next season. He says the minority want him out, but I think that it is probably the majority. I never ever thought that I would come to the point where I wouldn't buy a season ticket, but while he is in charge I won't buy one.I am not prepared to put myself through the trauma of this season again it has been depressing. If McCarthy goes I will be the first in the Queue.

How can people who are allegedly like you and me and who allegedly represent us allow this to happen?

Ok i known i've taken the mick at the ranter's recently BUT today when i heard close family and friends who've followed Chester for 30 or even 40 year's say they're not renewing season ticket's it really struck home that something need's to change...but a pay off is out of the question.
These people have been the regular's for so long and to hear so many say they wont be coming to many game's next year shocked me.If these hardcore fan's have had enough alarm bell's start ringing.

The board are impotent "Corbyn type" losers in life who's little bit of power is CFU board membership, and their ridiculous inertia is killing the club in the long term . The Happy Clappers must soon smell the coffee, otherwise the original concept will die and the West Cheshire League beckons, there are too many Michael Fair type characters, Kirby/ Burns etc., who will take this club down with their inflated ego personas .

It is not a non starter, stick him on Garden Leave, he didn't have anything in writing about his "avoid relegation " claim, prove it when the issue gets to court, he will lose big time in this current political climate!!

To say that he had already done what he needed to do when we got to 52 points is nothing less than disgusting. Surely the ambition of every HONEST manager would be to win every game, and if he couldn't win it, then not lose it. He effectively said that once he'd got to 52 points he and his team didn't need to do anything else because that's all he had been given a budget to do. He's a wage thief who has lost the dressing room and the supporters, but sadly not Maguire.

He's a wage thief who has lost the dressing room and the supporters, but sadly not Maguire. For all we know he could have lost Magiuire. He was given the contract after one of the best runs of form In club history. I don't think anyone expected this plummet and shambles that was to follow. We used to look hard to beat every game, with some decent forward play. Now we look quite honestly crap, with little entertainment other than seeing Sutton smash some very nice 30yrders in against us, another wasted trip. Going to Chester for me is a 180 mile round trip, the club is trying very hard to persuade me not to make the trip, unfortunately my heart has been ruling my head. We should sack JM and stand a chance of survival next season, none of this joke about gardening leave. Why the hell would we pay him to not work, that's what we do already. Gardening leave is maybe the worst suggestion since Magiuire handed him the contract. Seems most dont really know how it works.
