It seems only now everyone else can see what has been apparent since December John Mccarthy is not a football manager end of- he rode his luck up to December with a great coach in Sharpes who got those clean sheets but this run is now totally unacceptable he has to go along with all but maybe 6 of the squad- we have to get in a another manager who can generate interest with new signings to boost season ticket sales - you know what I'm sick to the high teeth of saying this and im not going to do so again because it's plainly obvious

I just find the fact that we don't have a full time assistant is equally embarrassing. JM and CI are nice people but it doesn't count in football. I'm afraid they aren't the people to take us forward.

I think the problem is that there's some people who overreact hugely after a couple of defeats, and there are others who want to give managers a fair chance. Macca has now had time to address this run and if anything it's getting worse, so I do now think his time is up. I won't apologise for defending him until fairly recently though, because I believe in being patient and giving managers the benefit of the doubt.

I'm sorry but his style of football has been evident for months I've watched football for many years and have totally despisedifferent this style of hoof ball I noticed this end of January and it's got worse week by week Mccarthy can't stay he is just not up to it - I don't expect we will ever challenge for promotion and will probably always struggle but I want to watch a Chester team attack teams again and start getting results at home - Mccarthy OUT

I had nagging reservations as well but I do believe in giving managers a chance. I think clubs are too quick to sack managers on the whole, but McCarthy really does seem a dead man walking. Getting rid of him in February wouldn't have been fair. Getting rid of him now would be fair, and we've not really lost anything by giving him a bit more time given that we're 99.99% safe. |
