Culture Minister Oliver Dowden has been demoted in today's Cabinet reshuffle. You'd like to think his dismal handling of the Covid grant/loan to football played a part. We got absolutely shafted, but his mates at Boreham Wood must be gutted. Not sure about the football credentials of Nadine Dorries, who is taking over but apparently a Liverpool fan

I don't really understand why we have this periodical juggling of politicians and roles, seemingly without much consideration for suitability.
Why, for instance, is the fisheries minister from Oxfordshire? Why is the founder of YouGov now the education secretary - surely there's no shortage of MPs who used to be teachers?
Not really even having a go at Tories here It just seems like one of those strange political processes we have for no reason.
