17 goals for a side as poor as us speaks for itself, and I reckon at least half of them have been during this crap run. I think he's carrying a knock at the moment or is exhausted, which is understandable given how much has been asked of a 22-year-old. Don't really get how anyone can be critical of him.

I think Alabi will go and to be fair you can't blame the lad, we have to accept where we are. He's worked off awful service with minimal assistance most of the time being asked to do it all on his own. Given our position and lack of financial clout, I really can't believe we are not looking in the leagues below for potential, I got jumped on last time but there are a couple of very good young strikers in the west Cheshire league who have got to be worth looking at, Alex Woodcock who plays for South Liverpool, local lad Kieran Smith who is currently at Bala, both who are scoring for fun, and never stop running chasing harassing defenders, it's like the old saying you play with better players you become a better player. Got to be worth a look, but hey what do I know, let's just keep watching Kane Richards do a token jog and throw himself on the floor at every opportunity. Don't think I've seen him make a tackle all season. But the notion that has to be better than players who are in the West Cheshire league baffles me because I haven't Seen to much from Richards this season to justifiably say he is better than strikers in the West Cheshire league Certainly not jumping on you and respect your opinion, but Kieran Smith isn't our level. I actually know him and i don't think he himself would disagree. I can't speak for any other lower league players, there are bound to be some diamonds. The problem is searching for diamonds, you get a lot of dirt. I feel we need some proven conference players next season blended with some younger lads perhaps. I don't think it's fair of some to criticise Alabi, he is a good player. However i do feel he is National League at the moment personally but all opinions differ and fair enough if you think he could cope if the league. Another season in this league, proving he can score goals again, would do him no harm.

There is an abundance of talent out there in the lower leagues and the Cymru Alliance too. Look at that young lad Jake Cassidy a couple of years ago jobbing about in the Welsh Alliance leagues before he got a trial with Airbus and then impressed Wolves so much on his debut game for Airbus that they signed him straight up. We would kill for a striker of his quality at this level now. If it's a problem of scouting there were enough of our own supporters who used to do voluntary scouting a couple of years ago in the local Welsh games. Could we not put out a request for CFC supporting people to watch a few players?

Talent is out there.

Talent is out there. It is, but it isn't easy to find. Let's not forget that Richards himself was plucked from the lower leagues. Watched a fair bit of West Cheshire League football over the past year or so. It's enjoyable, but it's a surprise when teams string three or four passes together, and you come to expect strikers to miss even when through on goal. Most goals scored at that level are largely down to basic mistakes.

To be honest I would like to see Alabi stay another year I agree would do him the world of good but with a hard working striker next to him, I do think there are some gems in lower leagues like you say it's just finding them. Personally I really don't think that Kane Richards is any better a talent than Kieran Smith given what I've seen, and Kieran does far more leg work and offers far more in terms of his overall game than Richards as does Alex Woodcock. But like you say football is all about opinions, just don't know if I can take another season of watching Richards token jogs, his sulking or falling over at every opertunity, would much rather see someone who puts the effort in and plays with passion for the shirt

Apparently Wrexham have had contact with his agent. Purely by a chance meeting in a hotel lobby. His agent clearly stated the players ambitions were at a higher level but could be swayed. Personally I think he's an overrated diving cheat but what do I know eh? totally agree with our three fingered friend, that dive he threw against you lot got us the point that could of kept us in this league, without that point and the way the club is at present, tomorrow would be squeaky bum time without a doubt

In fairness these things even themsleves out. There will be times when we lost and should have got something, or was on the wrong side of a penalty/offside decision..
