At last weeks CFU meeting there was constant reference from the Board that there must be benefits to being a CFU member. Am therefore somewhat surprised and disappointed to see that the new away kit for next season is launched on Friday, and on sale on Saturday. As a member, and owner, I was given the opportunity to choose the last home kit from a short list selected by the Board. Seems like we are not even given that option with this Board, so can anyone tell me what are the benefits! Looks to me like the CFU Board, and therefore the members, have lost control of the football club. Rant Over

I have always said the CFU members should be given a couple of quid off at the turnstile and at the kiosk, club shops etc.

It's not money off things that I want, that only damages the clubs finances, but at least a say in something like kit choice would at least give the impression of ownership.

Looks like we will be singing ''yeeeellllooooowsssss'' for another two years on an away day. I can't wait to wear it very soon 💛💙.

I'm not sure we need to be given a vote on every kit we bring out. If we did, let's face it, we'd end up with the same unremarkable yellow away kit every season that nobody will buy but everyone will join in with the chant about.

But to be fair it looks like that's happened anyway. Just the new kit looks a slightly darker yellow/orange with black trim instead of this years blue trim. Personally would have liked a complete change, not just a plain shirt for example. Maybe something with hoops, mind you if Astles is here next season it wouldn't be the most flattering for him.

Hoops or stripes is no bad thing, they make you look bigger, a psychological advantage, a small one, but an advantage all the same.

Wasn't the last and only time we voted on the away kit (and got that horrible purple thing) in our first season back in the Conference? We've always voted on the home kit apart from when we had that plain one (that was blamed on Puma if I remember correctly).

Seem to remember him arguing we should play in red because statistically red teams win more.

I've always liked the idea of an orange away with a black sash, also so that green and black checkered fade one we had was nice.

I know that the shop looked at having enough options for a vote, but were snookered a bit by Puma. As previous, although people say that our traditionally yellow away kit isn't popular etc, they took a lot of stick last time the colour was changed, and yellow sells better than any other colour has.
The last kit that was voted on was the current home strip. Unfortunately these were also bespoke, and has completely hamstrung them as they cannot order any further stock beyond the inital run. That means that they have had little or no M/L/XL shirts to sell this season.
The shop to offer options for a members vote out using Pumas yellow and black stripes and hoops for options, but I'm led to believe that they were only available in long sleeve. Again this is not an option.
Not seen it but believe the shirt is very good, it is trimmed in black (and I think the shorts and socks are black) and the club can order more if required at a reasonable notice if they sell out.
Cant please all of the people all of the time I guess.

F**king yellow again??? Jeez it's the default colour for every team in the league. Show some imagination ffs. Needless to say I won't be buying it.

Yellow has gone down very popular with our current away kit. What colour would you have chosen? Personally I thought our white kit at Solihull was alright, or maybe an all black kit. I love yellow though, and the chant.

iOur current home shirt is very nice, may I add. I believe having a pre-made design like this instead of bespoke will mean the club will not face any stock issues in the future.

I know it's a matter of personal taste but I think our home strip is the best I have seen in over 60 years watching the Blues. A white reverse instead of blue on the shirt would have made it even better. A change of colour in the away strip would have been good though.

Why do you think Reall Madrid have been so successful I think Franco and years of favours from the Spanish aristocracy have had something to do with that as well!

Maybe next home kit can have a little more blue and also the stripes on the back too.

Are we getting a new home kit this summer?? Considering we haven't been able to buy a home shirt nearly all season.

I said a bit earlier in this thread "Our current home shirt is very nice, may I add. I believe having a pre-made design like this instead of bespoke will mean the club will not face any stock issues in the future." in reference to the stock issues with our current kit... We change our kits every 2 seasons.. it has been one season with the home kit but two with the away kit, so time for a change, next summer the home kit will change (it alternates every summer, basically...)

Probably because of "The Famous Five" but that will always be my favourite.
