Might be somewhere to go and enjoy football next season whilst waiting for this mess to unravel. Well done to everyone at Witton. They should have knocked us out of the Trophy in December and have some cracking players.

Yes well done Witton.
Also hope another local team on the rise Whitchurch Alport can upset the odds and get through their play-offs in NWCL1.

Scored against us home and away in the Trophy

Congratulations! A lovely, well run club with a nice little ground. And they will be playing against Alty in a Derby next season too, they will relish it.

FFS listen to yourself I've been watching 25 years, I've not felt this low since the Smith days and the end of the Vaughan days. This board doesn't represent me or many others. I can find better things to do than sit and watch hapless displays week after week, knowing nothing will change and watching people clap pathetically. It doesn't feel like my club, it feels like theirs.

Moving away from a post containing the words Maquire and McCarthy , how would the board make up need to be different to that it currently is to represent you ??

Alan Povey worked tirelessly to improve communication between the board and fans and did this brilliantly, so I really don't know why you feel this way tarvinblue. In what do you feel it is us and them?

Despite all the pain and sorrow that will inevitably come, and hopefully some occasional brilliant times, I hope I get another 40 years. Love Chester FC and for not one minute at any time have I ever even thought about going somewhere else, even in the very darkest hours. I know you're the same so please just stop saying you'd go somewhere else.

Random blokes destroying our club.
A group of die hard fans spending their own time voluntarily running the club they love, for the benefit of us all.
Get some perspective. We follow our team through thick and thin and now we're fan owned it's more crucial than ever we stick with the club and support them in every way we can. CTID.

Funny you say this as in another thread I mentioned the need for professionalism through Mark Maguire; to shoulder the board who are volunteers and as you describe it, ' amateurism'.

Steve Vaughan was the master of telling gullible people what they wanted to hear, until he finally got found out. Keep that in mind when people are waxing lyrical on McGuire. He has been sacked from two previous clubs for a reason.

He was certainly the master of presenting 'evidence' of his impact and giving younger, gullible members of the fanbase opportunities and praise.

I have my doubts about Maguire, but I think comparing him to Vaughan is a bit off the mark.

He came here from two other clubs from which he was asked to leave because he left them worse off than when he joined them. Look how far Stockport sank! He doesn't "love" us, he just wants money from us. How many of the others who run the club really "love" it? Not the majority!

To be honest I've not had much dealings with Mark McGuire , but after dealingsome with pat cluskey, dave riche and Tracey Smith, he can't be much worse. All three either didn't have a clue or were just terrible with my dealings with them.
