I know we have elections to bring people forward to become board members to call the shots but surely they have to react when the fans are clearly unhappy.. The fans have spoken and more than a majority and not a minority want change. We are going to end up next season the really low season ticket sales and general crowds will go down to 1,200-1,500.

No thanks. Never again to private ownership. I don't want my club to be the plaything of somebody like Vaughan, Smith or Gutterman again. Join CFU, state your case, and let's see if there is really a majority who want to send the club into the unknown.

He didn't say anything about private ownership, just change. Look at the title of the thread I read that as "are we fan owned?" rather than "should we be fan owned?" I thought he was asking whether the board should be doing more to listen to the fans.

Obviously we are fan owned, but perhaps it is now more about control than ownership. The previous decision to appoint a full time CEO was clearly a decision to delegate control to that person. Nobody raised this as a concern at the time. If that person was instrumental in the contract extension to McCarthy then it would have been foolish of him not to accept such an offer. I don't know the terms of contract for either the CEO or the Manager and a myriad of guesses is pointless. Suffice to say, if the terms of either's contract has been breached then that will surely be addressed accordingly. These are the facts of where we are at present. As consumers we can either buy the product or shop elsewhere. Being a fan, in my opinion, differs from being a consumer and we stick with it, perhaps taking solace in a good grumble as the occasion dictates. Lots of us are grumbling. Grumbling at least shows emotion, and it is emotion that makes us stay - often called blind loyalty. My own observations are that McCarthy inherited a squad of kids, perhaps devoid of the muscle or commitment to be successful. His inexperience, which we all knew about at his appointment, meant he was inadequately prepared to recruit very well (possibly). The facts are that we do not have the finances to go full-time, and that our current part-time daytime only training regime excludes a very large number of quality part-time footballers. If, as McCarthy claims, he is motivating his squad and getting the best out of them then it is clearly an inept squad and needs changing. If we allow him to re-sign them all then we are doomed. As fans we need to campaign for the achievable, and that means going back to night time training if necessary and taking a tighter reign on recruitment. There is an immediacy required in this before the inexperienced manager possibly repeats the failings of last year's recruitment. If he doesn't like this then he could always tender his resignation. I'm hopeful it would be accepted.

Correct, I was meaning us the fans having control of OUR Club had a say into the goings on at the Club. Management change is drastically needed. The fans have spoken yet we're getting ignored.

Not been or seen any of the meetings recently due to working away, has McCarthy's position or this awful run Of form not been brought up by anybody ? If it has, then What was the overall feeling in the room ?
