Learn more. To be fair I don't think billyw is that much of a moaner and I think Rio's post was a bit of a snipe comment, not much need for it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and also more than entitled to a rant after our shocking form, but now it is only fair for us to be positive about today's fantastic transfer activity by the club. Well done to Mark Maguire, Jon McCarthy and the board who have acted swiftly to sort everything out. The sooner we get a squad together; the longer it has to gel. I am quietly optimistic for next season given how good today has been for Chester FC. |

Made with all this activity. When I went for my season ticket last season in July we hadn't signed anybody.
Just hope we can find some way of getting the youth lads some game-time.

I have been quick to moan when things have been going pear shaped but all credit to Macca for moving quickly to sign a promising striker to replace Alabi
Great to see Tom Shaw and Sir Astles staying on board too
Looking forward to next season already

Don't think anyone has spoken about releasing ST details yet, but now would be the perfect moment. Get it out whilst everyone is buzzing about our transfer activity. Maybe the club have a huge signing lined up, and want to wait for that to happen first? 😉

On a positive thought; (after what Liverpool have done name a Stand after Kenny Dalglish), perhaps the Club should consider doing the same at Chester for Barry Hipkiss, cannot think of anyone else more deserving for his years of devotion and time given to the Club.
The guy seems to be there a lot, and I know he has done a great deal for our away travel and the trips have always had their moments of laughter even when we have lost.
We always see him walking around the pitch also on Matchdays, think he looks after the turnstile people also.

Agree totally, Barry is the heartbeat of the club, and somebody over the years has cut the crap that we have had to endure from various owners/ CEO,s etc.. A stand named after him is the least he deserves, a knighthood would be more fitting . |
