Surprised we are in position to offer 2 year contracts with our finances personally. Pleased he has signed but maybe a 1 year deal would keep him hungry and on his toes.

With Mahon supporting a family and being an older player, relative to our squad. I doubt he would have signed a 1 year contract and wants some security contract wise.

Delighted to see Craig sign on, for two years too. Another good move by the club, a string on good moves today. Huge well done goes to the club for being so decisive over everything and not pondering over things and announcing things slowly across the summer.

This will be Mahon's fifth season at the club which I think makes him the all-time longest serving Chester FC player. Horan only managed the first four seasons.

He's had one good season under Burr but otherwise frustrating and inconsistent. Always seems to play too deep so when he beats players it doesn't lead to much. His assists and goals return is actually quite poor, but no doubt he has ability.

He shouldn't have given him a two year deal either, I predict we'll regret this decision. Maccer should be aiming to sign better players than Mahon if we are gonna do anything next season.

We're not going to be challenging for the play offs so don't worry about that.
He's one of the most talented players we've ever had here, most exciting too, on his day. He terrifies opposition teams when he's in full flight. Hopefully he has better luck with injuries and Macca utilises him properly.
Him signing has given the place a lift too, not too many of last seasons squad will do that (Alabi and Hughes but they aren't staying). Aside from being a top footballer he's a top fella, who gets the club

Great player, exciting to watch, smashing bloke and will go on to be the new CFC record appearance maker.
There are no better players in the confrence than a fit and at it Mahon.

It is a fair argument that for the last two years, for a variety of reasons, he's not done a great deal more than Chappel. Perhaps even less.
However, we know what he's capable of, he's popular with fans and it's good for continuity. I'm pleased to see him kept on.

Surely we can emulate Braintree and some of the other small part time clubs who have finished in the top ten over the last few years. It's this Tin pot mentality that'll kill the club.

It's realistic. We need to build from the bottom, stay in budget, develop players, sell them. I can't see any other way. Going for bust for a good season or two would be reckless.

We don't have to go for bust, get some decent players in play em in there correct positions play the correct formation (like we did before xmas) and we'll do ok.

I think our aim for next season should be a top half finish. Anything less a disappointment, anything more a bonus

Maidenhead have won the Conference South under that manager. Good managers make the difference.

Our points totals have been 1st season 51pts; 2nd 63pts; third 54pts 4th 52pts.
We should at the very minimum aiming to get to 60 pts and set a higher total the following season.

I'm not sure aiming for a 5 th from bottom position will sell many season tickets.
So far, the new signings, whilst completed refreshingly early in the summer, have been uninspiring.
The kids who signed pro will be lucky to get an hour of first team football between them, White is somewhat injury prone, whilst Chappell and Mahon have been mediocre.
Astles is an ok signing but he has weaknesses he needs to work on.
Can't believe Durrell and Hunt have gone as both were better than the rest.
