Fully deserved call-up which means he will be in the squad this Summer. I remember last year when Sam Hughes played for them. Good luck James!

Saw this in the NLP on Sunday. Surprised Big Sam didn't get a nod.

Think we will get £25,000 for alabi and £80,000 for sam Hughes Fairly confident we will get more than 80 for Hughes as we turned down 75 and he was made captain and player of the season since. Wouldn't be surprised if a club agreed a fee with us for around 100

sorry but some of these quoted figures are pie in the sky.... tribunal payments at this level are more often than not four figures. hughes was in a contract when the alleged offers were made, the offers were to buy him out of the contract... he isn't contracted now so why would offers be more.... if several clubs want them, it may result in a bidding war but the prospective buyer offering the most to the club may not be one the player wants to play for.... best to keep feet on the ground but live in hope eh?

I think we got 8-10K for James and he was older and moving to a club at the same level, not up the pyramid. The link below is to a site that explains the process and gives a number of actually tribunal results fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2016/11/compensation-players-24-mystery/

He came in June so the contract situation had already happened by then. The guy made a 20 page document just to get our Wrexham fine overturned. As he has said himself, he's dealt with millions of pounds worth of transfers. I have confidence that he can protect the club and get us the best fee possible, which will be six figures and break our record transfer as Chester FC (100K Sarcevic)

Is this a joke , he can't control a ball , he runs on his heels (if he runs at all ) , take pens away not a great goals return, can't head a ball and is very lazy his couldn't care less attitude let us down in loads of games this season . Sorry he's a conference north player .

Sorry he's a conference north player . Are you being serious? He has come on leaps and bounds this year and has been rewarded with a decent goal return. As for your comment about his "couldn't care less attitude", do you actually watch Chester games live? I've seldom seen a player who wears his heart on his sleeve as much as Alabi - berating himself if he feels he makes a mistake, looking genuinely gutted when we lose or concede a goal. Not to mention his work with all the kids at the Community Trust, which he does in his own time.

Would hate to hear what you think of an average player 😳

Still somehow remains in his position to this day.

Nothing bitter about it. I'm a realist and given what's happened to our club in the past I am naturally suspicious about figures of the ilk of Maguire and Allen being involved.
On the pitch, it's early days. Looks like we've kept the reserves and are looking to improve the starting X1 on a budget. That's fine, it's where we are at, but nothing has occurred yet to have season tickets flying off the shelves. As I said though, early days yet.
