Makes sense, give them the West we get Harry Mac and East, one day I'd love to see us use Harry Mac, East and South, and give the away team the West.
Lets pack the ground and make some fucking noise for the boys!

Why no South Stand?

Could be wrong but believe it's because of no disabled facilities.

Cannot make the game Tuesday but really want to see the home end full as it will make such a difference. Would like for there to be a way in which we could donate some tickets for people who cannot afford the extra game.

Lets pack the ground and make some fucking noise for the boys! Great idea as I’m fed up of seeing the main stand half empty from the Harry Mac. Should really add to the atmosphere. Makes sense not pumping money into the south stand unless we draw a monster club at home next round. Great day yesterday and I’ll say it again, I’d missed proper football grounds

I do feel sorry for the newer fans who are only used to these non league garden sheds that we get to visit.

I would have thought if this disability issue was relevant that the North Stand (Harry NcNally) would have even bigger issues being a standing terrace with steps and no seating. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Please correct me if I'm wrong The disabled accessibility for home fans is main stand / west stand. There would be no wheelchair access in a standing terrace. When Vaughan converted the South Stand to seating it would appear he didn't make it disabled accessible.

What happens though after we win tuesday night & draw Derby or Sheff Wed in the 1st round proper at home, surely the south stand would have to be opened as the club would lose out on so much potential income. Can't have just 3 stands open for a game like that.

Can't have just 3 stands open for a game like that. A draw like that would almost certainly see us on TV as well. Would be a national embarrassment. It's difficult though, because as a fan I loathe to spend any precious money on the Deva and rather save it all towards one day moving out. But it's a double edged sword.

If we sell out the Harry Mac, would opening the south stand be an option for pay on the gate to Home Fans

I don't understand the South Stand issue at all. No disabled access in the Harry Macc?

I don't understand the South Stand issue at all. No disabled access in the Harry Macc? Rare you’d get wheelchair bays in a terrace anyway. Hence why we have them in the East and West stands. It’s why we always gave away fans the South and a corner of the West for decades. Now it’s just cheaper to keep them in the corner of the West.

Jeff Banks has said in reply to someone on Facebook that the situation with ticket sales is being monitored and reviewed. Could that suggest that part of the West Stand could be made available to Chester fans in the event Oldham don’t sell many? Guess it would depend on whether the SAG etc approve of such a move, but it wouldn’t be any different really to plenty of other games where teams have had half of that stand and we’ve had the other half.

More likely they’ll get the South too rather than us having half the West back. Big club.

Im fairly sure if the HMc sells out and the main stand is close to full they will open sales to the Hipkiss Stand to home fans.

Who’d a thought we’d be having conversations about our ground not being big enough for a FA Cup qualifier replay hey !
I’m hoping the casuals who went Saturday have now got the bug for real football and a real values driven club, instead of the premier league and we’ll see bigger attendances more often.
As for this south stand debate. It wouldn’t be overly expensive to convert it back to terracing and include wheelchair bays too surely?
However, I can’t remember the last time it was actually used? Stockport a few years ago when they battered us? So it’s a cost we might be better off looking at WHEN WE GO UP THIS YEAR.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the south stand gets used every season for the matches when we invite Schools, Kids teams. So i don't get the issues with disability access.

Think away fans have been in there twice since then, York and Alty (Cup game). We’ve had home fans in there on free school/community/MBNA tickets half a dozen times as well. Without knowing the details it does seem a bit strange to be changing our routine. Away fans getting the South Stand and half of the West seems to work best and I think would give Oldham and extra 100 tickets or thereabouts than they have now. Must be a reason though, South Stand will surely need to be opened for us now given the ticket sales.

2,659 tickets sold so far.
3,534 was the crowd against Barnsley at home, I think this might be beaten.

How many out of them 2659 are Oldham tickets ? If we sell more than anticipated will the South stand be opened up ?

Suprised the tickets for the East Stand are just a general entry ticket, and not sold in sections, as If I recall rightly, if you enter in certain turnstiles you can only gain access to certain blocks and not the whole stand, or this not the case for tomorrow night with it being unallocated seating?

We have Altrincham (midweek) and Halifax aways coming up so I can't imagine we will shift more than 500 for this on such short notice and without an away win to shout about this season
