Why are they called Flint Town United? It's like they have a hyphenated surname.

Would like to see the manager utilise his contacts and see if we can get a home tie with Port Vale or even Birmingham! A better test than a Wigan U23 side as per previously.

Conference North sides away, proper tests for the squad. Think we haven't been fit enough starting seasons previously, players need more minutes each and competitive matches. Nice playing your local sides like Heswall but let's leave those games to our youth sides.

Still no games against Southampton or Juventus !!! Chris Iwelumo is currently in Cyprus so don't be surprised if we play APOEL Nicosia away on a midweek night 😉.

Bala will be a decent test, as well as Witton and Alty followed by what i imagine will be a stiff test in walsall.

Why are they so close together? McCarthy must be looking at having a load of trailists as I assume it won't be the same squad playing in all these games.

It won't be otherwise they will be tired before the season even starts. I would imagine he would play a team of trialists and youth players for matches against the likes of FC United Of Flint Town Rovers Athletic, similar to the match against Buckley Town last year.

Tired before the season starts ? They need to get fit . If they are too lazy to get fit ,like last season then we shouldnt be employing them

Can't believe you are all so excited about all these friendly matches that are NEXT SEASON ! We have only just finished this season less than a week ago, in fact what with the play offs our league isn't technically over yet. Jeez, why don't you all chill and forget about it for a few weeks. I'm just so happy that this season is out the way.

Baffled by the fixtures to be honest; we have had all this talk of a small budget etc, from the Club.We should have had more Home fixtures to raise finance either through the turnstiles or Bar or Shop; and against some North West based League Clubs. After the season we have just had, now asking us to travel too away fixtures preseason at our expense and also more expense for the Club/Team with travel costs.(This is creating expense not saving costs)

I would be amazed if this didn't include something against Local league teams at home

I seem to remember someone saying we are doing a lot of work on the pitch, which may be the reason for only one home game so far.

They are relaying the pitch after 21st may. So probably giving the new turf time to root before scheduling games?
