The perfect deal would be for him to go, we get a six figure sum plus a sell on clause and we have him back here on loan for a season. Not a chance they would spend that sort of coin and then let him drop this far down the pyramid to play. We don't have anywhere near what would be needed training/physio wise. Agree with this, if he signs for a premiership club then they'll probably loan him out to a league club if they decide to loan him out.

Looks like Dave Powell thinks it could be a day or two before the announcement due to the buying club wanting to announce the signing with a more lucrative signing. Understandable I guess and I would expect we would do the same in their shoes.

Jamie Vardy has invested 100k in digging out diamonds from lower and non leagues. Could this be his first gem?

Can any Nazi sympathisers copy and paste the article from the Daily Heil just out of interest please. It's where the story broke today (looks like Undercover Chester got there first last week though).

Great move for Sam and a good deal for us. If the £125k is confirmed that's going a long way to keep us afloat for another season and give us a chance to build for the future. Credit to everyone who has been involved in Sam's development. I've been critical of the youth set up and it's failure to bring through players for the first team but this is the justification. Also good news that it doesn't seem that a tribunal will be involved so the cash can be spent now....guess a chunk has already been allocated for wages for Hannah and other recent signings. Now we need to find the next one and let's hope it's a forward. On Sam, while he's clearly a good player, does anyone think he will ever play Premier League football? I haven't seen enough to suggest that's the case. Primarily IMO he lacks the pace to make it at the very top but hope he ends up having a good career in Champiosnhip or League 1. If he proves me wrong I will be delighted but I thought Danny Collins looked a better prospect when he was here. Assume we have a sell on clause. Good luck Sam.

Obviously everything is still to be confirmed, but it’s a good deal for Sam and ourselves. I think Leicester’s style of play will suit him perfectly and the fee is bang on what we were after, and it sounds like add-ons and clauses are included. Here’s two threads about Sam from back in February – link and linkLooking back, I think we need to give Maguire credit, he did his homework and knew what we could get, holding out was the right thing to do. In the meantime we were able to keep Sam for a few more months and he scored the goal that probably kept us up at Torquay.

I genuinely can't believe people thought we wouldn't get more than what Barnsley offered in Jan (80k). Was always going to be more than 100k.

Looking at the second link I suggested that someone might come in and steal a march on the others by doing a deal before a tribunal, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket😀, and Al was spot on with the amount we would get.

Looks like someone has jumped the gun with the story I think Leicester are waiting to announce Sam at the same time as a bigger signing.

Hopefully the club is going to get more than the £125 k quoted then. That's probably two weeks wages for Vardy so I think Leicester can stump up a bit more.

just been on the Leicester foxestalk forum they ain't impressed Generally most of them are positive but there are a few whingers, which is extraordinary really from a club who won the Premier League on a shoestring just over a year ago, helped by a free-scoring former Stocksbridge Park Steels striker.
