Two local businessmen have taken over at Southport FC, and are in the process of putting a six figure cash sum into the club, and should be very competetive next season. They should with a bit of luck be able to sort those awful toilets now at the Away End.

Unfortunately six figures is bugger all these days, the likes of daro,Stockport, kiddy, halifax or chorley and Salford will be up the top, think Southport will be mid table at best

They should with a bit of luck be able to sort those awful toilets now at the Away End. One isn't a businessman, he's a partner at an accountancy firm and was a vice president at Southport and also very pro Charlie Clapham. They won't be competitive as neither of them have a clue about how to run a football club. The chairman at Southport also ignored a takeover bid by a highly successful local businessman who was willing to invest a 7 figure sum. The club appears to be in meltdown and they could do an Altrincham if they're not careful.

At least the investors sound genuine and are fans of the club, openly admitting it may not be financially wise to invest in a football club. Other investors could very much be in it for themselves, after all, like you said, a successful businessman. You don't become successful by losing money, or investing 7 figures without expecting some form of return.
